We used to do that to the garage in Northern New York. The roof of the house was about 40 feet up. No one went on that roof

Things are going well with the family, and me too. Busy though. I'm still looking for a civilian job but the military one is keeping me pretty busy. My oldest is away at college so our daughter is loving being an only child for awhile (but she still misses her brother). We're still working on the house (did I say I HATE wallpaper?!). My time for AE is limited but I am working on a turn against tc464 (my oldest opponent). We will start it sometime after patch 2 comes out. I'm glad things are going well with you.

Glad to hear all is well Major!

I'm finding limited time for AE at the mo. All I have going at the mo are 2 x Guad scenario's PBEM. I havbe a GC going vs Japanese AI but only just reaching January 1942 and haven't had time to play it for weeks!

My aim is to ultimately play GC PBEM (probably against either/or Fabertong, Chad Harrison or Dadman) but will have to see how time permits since the next few months will be crazy with potential job moves and house moves!

I currently own my apartment but we're planning to rent a house before buying towards the end of next year. I have to decide whether to rent or sell my flat. I could rent it for more than my mortgage = good BUT ther'es the hassle of renting it and maintaining the place + it's a leasehold property and there's only 60 years left on the lease.

It was fantastic! The sounded great, and the "show" was something to behold. My son was out of his mind the entire time. We're already quietly scheming to take a "boys trip" somewhere to see them next summer.

Great to here

I loved it too.

Funny you should mention that. I've already sounded off travelling to Seville, Spain to see them again September 2010 Not sure it will happen mind you.....

How did you find them compared to the past though? I sitll love it and it's a great show but compared to the glory days of the 80's and even early 90's

It was my first time seeing them, so I have nothing to compare except DVD's of past tours.

I never went to their shows back then either (I was a few sections over from Mike at this one), though I've seen Rattle and Hum of course. I like their music from earlier a bit better than the last couple, but the show is great.

Leasehole property? That must be something British.

If you'd spend less time with the blow-up doll, you'd have more time for AE.

It's also in the USA, but far more commonly found in commercial real estate applications. Instead of a 99 year lease (as used to be done on properties--Like the base at Guantamano Bay) , you will frequently see 20 year retail leases. "Buisness site, will build to suit ". Or "pad for lease". Very different from residential real estate.

Denver is great for the snow, we have slightly less snow currently at my place than Scott. Another wave is coming in about 2pm though.

Since when do 'leases' have mortgages for the lessee?

I have had Go Home for a few years, and just picked up Live at Red Rocks on DVD 2 weeks ago. Also saw U2 3D in the theater with my son.

Yep, but unlike Minnesota it will be in the 50's and mostly melted by Sunday . There things to love about Colorado. Especially having less yellow snow.

They say it's over
But I have just begun to fightIt may look hopeless
But that's the moment from what's rightSomeday, someway, somewhere
I'm gonna take you there
Where angels dare to fly(Chorus)
Some people wait forever
Some people just run out of time
Some people live in darkness
And give up just before the light
You (you), me (me)
No we won't back down
Let all the others wait
I want someday, someway, right nowThe sun is risin'
I see confusion everywhereThe world that's dyin'
There's revolution in the airSomeday, someway, somewhere
I'm gonna take you there
Where angels dare to fly(Chorus)
Some people cry a river
But never see the other side
Some people bow down broken
And end up swallowed by the tide
You (you), me (me)
No we won't back down
Let all the others wait
I want someday, someway, right now(solo)Some people wait forever

Meh. The snow in Minnesota generally isn't all that bad. It's the -30F that is the most unpleasant bit about Winter.

The poor suckers to the East of the Great Lakes (e.g., Northern New York-Buffalo, etc.) really get slammed with 'lake effect' snowfalls that stagger the imagination. 12-15+ feet of snow in a given season isn't unheard of. That's 4+ meters for our international friends. Not only do they have to have the right roof pitch, but they'd better have egress from the upper story windows too!
