Is there any way to use FOF in window mode ?

I would like to open Excel and FOF on same computer to help me managing troops, generals and perhaps cities.

No, it's not possible. As we've explained before -- a long time ago, before you were visiting the forum -- the FOF engine was based on the COG engine, which we began developing 5+ years ago, before windowed mode was standard. To retrofit it might not be impossible, but is the next worst thing: it would take at least a month of programming time, not to mention plenty of debugging as well. So, that's why we don't have it. The good news is that the games we are now working on that involve new engines do have windowed mode, so this won't be a problem for most future games.
