according to wikipedia it's Eastern Standard Time (UTC−5) there, so hopefully this will be the 9AM they talk about?

Yes, it is EST there, but online registration doesn't open until 12PM. 9AM is only for onsite registration. I know a lot of people who attend to support friends racing this year, and to register for next year while they are there.

you going to run it next year?

Not me. Not yet, anyway. One day (year) I will have the time to train reasonably for it. I don't want to win, I just want to finish without wishing I were dead.

The Redneck Riviera, err... Panama City, Florida... is in the Central Time Zone of the US. I have no idea as to what time zone their website is using. You may want to write the administrator to make sure...

i thought the redneck riviera was north and south carolina

SOUTH, thank you very much.

Not allowed during the race.

Strangely, many running races don't even allow them. I won't listen to one while training on the bike, but I almost always do my run training to music.

well naturally. its also illegal to use em recreationally. Doesn't stop me though. I need me tunes to make the bike ride more energetic. Nothing like a little Hocico to get the blood pumpin.

I really don't get it. Shouldn't UCT-6 (Panama City) to UCT+1 (Germany) be seven hours?

(starting feel dumb...)

Historiker;

You are correct. Panama City is in the Central Time Zone not Eastern Time zone so it is 7 hours not 6.

I had to look at a detail map to determine this. Panama City is right on the dividing line

The Central Time Zone/Eastern Time Zone dividing line along the gulf coast of Florida is the Bay County/Gulf County boundry. Panama City is in Bay County which is west of the line
