Evening Tithe.

Laddie (the first dog we got) is definitely NOT missing Harry!

Just installed Tracker 1.2 and transferred my game files over - just waiting for the next turn...

We had 2 dogs for quite a while, and 2 years ago, one of them died. The remaining dog LOVED being an "only dog" in the house, even thought there were multiple cats around. About 6 months later we got another "free" dog, and the first dog has been pissed at us ever since.

Well, either I'm better at FPS's than I thought, or this game was too easy on the Regular difficulty level. It took me 5 hours and 47 minutes to complete.

Especially since they've yet to come up with a title for people with more than 30,000 posts. Very disappointing.

Over the years there have been plenty of suggestions for a title for you T. Not many of them were suitable for a family forum mind...

And to bed. Bought The Defence of the Realm, not light reading but not bad so far. Got to the start of WW1, the spy mania then has distinct parallels to the current paranoia. What goes around comes around it seems.

Okay, having spent some time reflecting on Modern Warfare 2, here's my thoughts. Graphics and audio are fantastic, AI is respectable, weapons selection is good, but the storytelling is not as good as we're used to from the boys at Infinity Ward. It's over too fast, and has some plot holes you could fly a C-130 through.

That being said, I've definitely been entertained (and shocked more than once). Very bloody game. 8.5 out of 10.

Sure, I'll pop it right in the post... Steam probably won't approve, though...

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

— Lt.-Col. John McCrae (1872 - 1918)

Just want to wish all of you a happy Armistice/Veterans day and remember the fallen of the great war

I'm the veteran in the family, but I'm going to work today, while my wife is off work, and my son is off school.
