I see Fr, TU, RU, and PR have posted. GB advised he will post tonight. Hopefully SW and AU are done so SP can put them altogether before RU goes on Vacation tomorrow. We'll see!

First, I apologize the delay this turn; a serious intrusion of real life. I will try not to let it happen again!

However, just now when I went to combine the turns and execute, I noticed that GB inadvertently sent the ALL files instead of the British turn; so there will be a little additional delay. I sent Kevin an email directly about this.

Again, sorry!

Well, that will do it for me gentlemen. I TRIED waiting up but I can't wait for the Brits turn.

I'll have my next turn in the evening of Nov 11 (US time).

I promise no more travelling for several months.

Not sure if you would call it exciting, but certainly there has been a continuous example of unprovoked and completely uncontrolled aggression by Great Britian, Sweden and Austria. Those three nations have proven themselves insatiable aggressors and the enemies of all of Europe.

I will say, this is the fastest explosion into open war I think I have heard of. All of Europe at war with each other and not even a year played!

I agree. That's what reckless aggression will cause, but there is always a price in the long-term for being reckless.

"ingressor" ? Is that someone who is interested in being an aggressor?
I love diplomacy! It doesn't matter who starts what, but as a player one can always find justification for your argument!
I as the Emperor of my nation can choose to follow whatever course I may, and though everyone may consider me a scondrel, in my eye I'm a Charlemagne, with justification for everything I do!

SPEAKING AS GUSTAV IV ADOLF, KING OF SWEDEN:

QUOTE THE PRUSSIAN MONARCH: "continuous aggression" by Sweden, Britain, and Austria

zzzzzzzzz...
1. Poland was invaded by Prussia and Russia who wanted to take it the ILLEGAL way.
2. Poland came to Sweden asking it to protect it from Prussia and Russia. It was handed to Sweden who took it the FRIENDLY way (there are two ways to take a country: 1) the illegal way, 2) the friendly way). Sweden had placed her troops to take Poland the FRIENDLY WAY and get there first IF anyone decided to attack it ILLEGALLY!!! From that point on, unless color blind, most players were able to easily ascertain that Poland was BLUE, SWEDISH territory. Plain and simple--and by every gauge and metric WCS has put into the COG:EE game engine.
3. Russia and Prussia then embarked to try to take Poland from Sweden the ILLEGAL way (i.e. to conquer BLUE territory from its rightful owner).
4. Sweden offered to compromise again and again and again. Six provinces would have been enough to keep the Baltic at peace. Prussia refused to negotiate and chose to settle things by force of arms.
5. Sweden won frontier battles with Prussia, defending BLUE lands and again offered to end the war. Prussia refused to negotiate.
6. After all attempts to negotiate failed and all offers to give a few provinces of Poland to Prussia turned down, Sweden marched into Prussia to end the war and keep Prussia out of her ILLEGAL attack on SWEDISH LANDS. After massive losses inflicted on Prussia in Silesia, Sweden told Prussia the best deal would be to surrender quickly or Prussia risked losing a lot, including Wesphalia and a couple more provinces. Prussia refused to give up trying to take Blue lands out of the control of their owner.
7. Sensing we had a self styled Adolf Hitler on our hands (someone incapable of compromise who apparently hasn't drawn enough from the lessons of history), Sweden then called for help from Britain and Austria to help Sweden KEEP Poland/Blue Lands (friendly and LEGALLY taken).
8. Prussia finally loses exactly the way Sweden had warned she would, with massive treaty point losses, a conquered Westphalia and East Prussia gone due to insurrection as its leader would rather see Prussia destroyed than be brought to compromise.
9. After the Prussian surrender forced by insurrectionists, AGAIN trying to avert the worst for Prussia, Sweden offers to reconstruct Prussia by giving it 2-3 quality provinces back after the peace treaty is executed. At the same time, we offer to give Russia 5-6 provinces of Poland and offer France Berg and Palatinate in exchange for general European peace. No response. NO RESPONSE. Oh well.

I saw the writing on the wall for Prussia all along. And warned and warned. And wanted to prevent this. And gave her a way out. And offered to reconstitute most of it. But nothing. No response. No ability to compromise. I don't want war. I want what was LEGALLY taken by Sweden. I wanted to keep the BLUE provinces...not TAKE the PINK ONES. I had to TAKE the PINK ones to protect the BLUE ones. And I want an end to the war. And now, after all of this crud, I want a small reward for all of the stress I have had to deal with because Prussia has been greedy and refused peace.

Prussia claiming that Britain and Sweden were the aggressors isn't just a LITTLE like--BUT EXACTLY LIKE--Adolf Hitler claiming in WW2 that Britain and France were the aggressors for defending Poland and taking the war to Berlin! I don't think that the Prussian monarch has read much history. It isn't just a WEAK comparison, but an exact 1 to 1 replication. Except for the fact that in THIS war (1793) the good guys would have been willing to compromise with the Prussian General Staff over and over and over again. Now, after dealing with an aggressive government incapable of negotiation and compromise through its entire destruction, we feel decidedly less sympathetic towards the maintenance of a strong Prussia than we were at the beginning of this mess. Why keep uncompromising despots strong? Now, if we could, w would replace the Prussian government with one which DOESN'T attack my BLUE territories and IS willing to compromise and KNOWS when to throw in the towel when begged to by enemies who don't want to destroy it. It would be a much more civil Europe.

Imagine. The Russo-Prusso-Swedish conflict in Poland would have been PEACEFULLY settled by giving Sweden just SIX Polish provinces. LOL. Was it worth it?

Lastly, Russia accuses Sweden of not "protecting Poland" because I have handed much of it away. As if Russia and Prussia were not going to split it up between themselves. LOL. Believe me, if I had my druthers, Poland would be unified under Swedish rule. But we had to buy help to help us defend what was ours againt blatant, pure, 100% Prussian-Russian, non-compromising aggression. Plain and simple. And even now diplomats are attempting to remove Poland from Swedish rule. Funny. Additionally, the Russian does not know about the long term arrangements for Poland, and what exactly was supposed to happen to the Austrian/Polish territories.

SPEAKING AS MARSHAL VILLARS:

I don't care what people do in-game. People play this game for recreation and to do something different than be responsible. If people want to lie, cheat, and even steal, it is no reflection on their character in day to day life! :) So, whatever happens happens. Everyone here is welcome in my home anytime, regardless of what they do. I was backstabbed by many of my best friends when playing board games through out my whole life. I never worried about it. If I want to play the "responsible" game, I will apply for a job at a Fortune 500 company again. That's not what I am here for.

Posted as Gustav IV, King of Sweden

Poland was way too expensive to run anyways. It ruined me financially. That is precisely why I was going to release it as a protectorate. Now I have money for operations.

So, what did the incursion into Poland get Russia and Prussia? I think Russia gained one province. And Austria gained 11.

Most Sincerely,

G IV
