Hello, I'm new here so please forgive me if this has been covered before, but could any of the GoA experts please enlighten me on amphibious actions.

I've tried on occasion to attempt amphibious actions as a CP player. Namely, an audacious invasion of the UK. I've tried loading up with loads of naval assets, transports and attempted to get control of the North Sea. I've had a battlegroup stationed in Wilmeshaven consisting of infantry corps, artillery and HQ waiting to go but all to no avail. Pray please tell me if such an initiative is possible and/or where am I going wrong. I've even tried a similar exercise from Constantinople after Turkey declared war on Greece, aiming to land on the Greek mainland but yet again no success.

have you activated the units before trying to invade?

Yes I did and ended up losing activation points, do you think i could be something to do with sea area control?

Wow, been a while since I played but, as I recall, if there is a capital ship in the port, one cannot invade there.

I recommend a search of this section. As you guessed, it has been covered before. I just can't remember the outcome.
