For me it's to get HPS into the boat, so their titles become downloadable and convincing Mr. Verssen to computerize his board games. Also I would like to see a WitP AE counterpart for the European theatre. East Front on regimental level with daily turns and German production.

HPS would be cool.. cause there isn't any active forums for them, and I just bought my first one last month!.. At least Matrix has 'active' forums.. where one can go for Noobie Help!

I second the wish for an in depth East Front strategic game.

Also, I have long had an interest in ancients, but have never had one of those games. Something that has a nice 3d battlefield with some pre battle maneuver for a particular battle with a somewhat historical setting would be very nice.

CMurphy, have you been to the Wargamer forum? HPS does have a presence there, and they seem to respond to questions.

I echo the sentiments above... I would LOVE to see HPS games available for download through Matrix. I buy a lot of them (at NWS) but I'd buy lots more if I had that instant gratification factor working for spontaneous downloads in the wee hours of the morning. The forum support would be tremendous as well. There really isn't that much HPS support out there that's active.

Just my vote.

Forgot to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving yesterday (I was down in SnowFlake having dinner with the Navajo family that "adopted me" when I came out here five years ago). I hope you all had a great one!

HPS also has forums at Gamesquad and also many mods for the games are archived there for download.

Cmurphy,

Well if you were expecting forums like Matrix, I doubt that will happen. Matrix promotes and encourages, involvement. I don't see HPS doing the marketing work that Matrix puts into their site.

Yep, forgot about them. Ran over and checked them out and there is some decent stuff there, but I read everything in a couple of hours so it's still not anything like the depth of comment you get on some of the Matrix games here. I'd still like to see HPS on Matrix.

"Tin Soldiers:Napoleon"

The series may be dead, but for me there is a need for a miniatures on the computer Napoleonic game. It should be 3D with a rotatable camera and can look like a well done tabletop game setup. An easy to use editor should be included for players to recreate any Napoleonic era battles.

I know, the game doesn't cover actual WWI battles.I was just putting it out there just in case you didn't know.

For me it's WWI turn based aerial wargame. I'd been playing one online that is more or less a PBEM game online but I'd really like one I can play all the time solo. Long time ago SSI put one out called merely "Eagles" and I haven't seen anything like it since. If you know of something turn based and not an online java game please let me know as I really enjoyed the old C64 game of Eagles.

Not WWI, but there is the old standbys of; Achtung Spitfire, Over The Reich, and the semi-modern Flight Commander. All are turn-based aerial combat (if you find originals, I can help you to get the former two to run fine on at least XP). And of course there is always the original Eagles (the computer knockoff of AH's Richtofen's War), which runs fine under several different emulators. Not to mention the WWII based (computer knockoff of AH's Air Force) Computer Air Combat (& Data Disk for Apple Only), put out in the same era by the same company (although for you commies it was called Wings Of War).

Do you know a way to run AS and OtR outside of using a virtual PC? I've been trying for a while and couldn't figure it out. I have the original disks for both.

A WEGO-based, hex-based war game with a scenario editor, support for any screen resolution, and graphics that prioritise functionality and efficient display of information above eye candy and special effects.

I'd also vote turn-based aerial wargame.  One that involves maneuver like the old Big Time Software games but brand-shiny new.

I did enjoy Hornet Leader but it's an abstracted solitaire tabletop.  I wanna turn & burn, it's been too long.  Multiplayer would be pretty fun, too, especially if it supported 4 or more players at once.

Well what I would like to see is a major update of the Steel Panther series, a complete rebuild so to speak.

A strategic Seven Years War or Wars of German Unification game. A strategic Second Punic War game would also be appreciated.

There's no way someone would do that. It would literally take forever to finish. Craziness!

A strategic game set during the Thirty Years´ War...

I strongly second the ideas for a turn-based tactical aerial wargame (WW1, WW2, I don´t care).

There actually was a strategic game based on the Second Punic War - must have been 15-20 years ago, old enough that it came on floppy disks at any rate. It wasn´t very complex, or really very good from today´s POV, but I still play it a lot. It was called "Hannibal" - not sure if it was ever published outside Germany. I think it would be a great idea to remake this with semi-modern technology.

Beyond that... Tin Soliders: Hannibal (inspired by the above), Tin Soldiers: Gustavus Adolphus (inspired by my other wish).
