Don't know. Breathing seems to.

Here's the latest sanity disturbance ...

This morning, on my way to work, I passed this car.

Did I think "nice car"? No.

Did I think "My, that car sure is frost covered"? No.

My thought was "Hmmm ... an MLE in Stockholm ... it's far away from the Pacific where it should be ..."

Reminds me a long time ago about a misunderstanding I had when a friend mentioned an rpg game and I couldn't shake the immediate mental image of what my idea of an rpg game would look like even while he telling me about this thing called D&D.

This is the same guy who thought the lyrics from Aqualung 'five little girls with bad intent' was actually 'five little girls in battered tents'.

come up with some "war" stories

Some might eve be true

Pffft, all (three of) my true stories from the warzone are boring. True war stories are always less interesting than the time I parachuted behind enemy lines during the Fourth Australio-Tibet war and single handed wiped out the Bulgarian general staff before making good my escape in a miniature zepellin piloted by 30 chinamen and a small armadillo named Ralph. Obviously "Ralph" wasn't his real name as he was a part of the SAS.

Ralph is one tough customer.

Sorry to hear that, T.  You know, I play this fantastic computer wargame set in the Pacific during WWII.  It is really engrossing, and takes up all of my spare time.  You should give it a try.

He does come across as a Luftwaffe fanboy (which I am not), I will give you that. But his evidence and conclusions are none the worse for it.

I was talking to JoeW about him the other night. He regards him very highly. So we are a threesome.

Well, hooray for you...

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! I dont want to be involved in any of that. Nik dressed up in a toga. Thread only knows what Joe was wearing........

Succinct. Look Nik, you (and Onime and Joe, along with several others, I guess) like the book. I don't. Let's leave it there.

I'm fine with that.

Jeez. I didnt know you two were gonna start a slap fight over this. I though you always agreed with one another.

Is that the game that manages to be horribly imbalanced in favour of both the Japs and the Allies at the same time? I think I heard of it.

Sometimes I long for the days of blissful ignorance, unknowing of the horrors of game design. But alas, I've seen where the rabbit is hidden.
