Tough one, Bruce.

Tell me if I'm getting warm though:

Small cars / trucks. Unusual telephone / electrical pole toppers for the states. Verdant hillsides-appears temperate climate with sharp bluffs overlooking water.

Reminiscent of some of the pictures I've seen of modern Dieppe, but Dieppe has more beachfront development and rock at the waterline. Beach too narrow for Omaha, not right for Utah, Gold, Sword or Juno either.

RVs parked on cliffside-recreational area? Military 'jeeps' (2)-one with a red cross on white background? Flag flying above installation on cliff-former military?-can't make out details of flag. Architectural gables on buildings look european, as does stone face of building with (illegible) sign. Unfamiliar with crosswalk markings as they appear here...Historical placards (3) in foreground-presumably something interesting or famous happened here...

Driving on the RHS of the road, so not Aussie land, UK or NZ.

So. I can't place the beach. I'll guess continental Northern Europe, probably France. Warm?

ETA: I posted before I saw the town picture. I'd say Northern Europe for sure, English speaking. I'm not so sure anymore that it's not the UK, as the emergency vehicle colors look about right for some UK stuff.

I think the Beach is 'Omaha' the D-day landing Beach in Normandy.

I think the Town is Waive in Belgian, where Napoleon's General Grouchy lost contact with the Prussians on the right flank of Waterloo.

The town is not Waive. It is northern Europe.

I expected a whole lot more beach, as per other pictures I've seen. Was this high tide?

As I said, "proper English". I don't know what y'all talk over yonder, but it ain't proper English.

T, do you speak and converse in English as well as you read and write in it? If so, you need to pop over for a visit!

Is that the only reason you can think of to invite him?

Yeah, let's get the bald keyboard monkey over here and see if he talks as well as he types...
