ugh I just got home from work driving in a snow storm and I almost got hit by a car travelling in the wrong direction on the highway

Maybe he was a Brit.

In which case he was travelling on the correct side. Everyone else was wrong

But why would it only be the case in a snowstorm?

We went and saw the Trans Siberian Orchestra (an American new age rock band) yesterday. They were good.

I love the Christmas Cannon. There is a acoustics version of "God rest ye merry gentlemen" thats on one of the CDs I read that is very good as well.

The Bourne films seem played out to me.

IIRC the books were quite numerous, so they do have a lot of material. I've never read any of them, though.

Going to pop into Blockbuster on the way back tonight and pickup some movies. Any recommendations?

I heard something about a classy movie taking place on a Hawaiian Island just at the beginning of the Pacific War. Good cast where Ben Affleck really shines. Nice effects. Some new previously unheard of history unearthed. Maybe you should try that while I ...

Why is it that so many drivers can't seem to grasp the conceptual difference between "merge" and "yield"? Traffic would move much more smoothly if they did...

They do call them "acceleration lanes" for a good reason.

But most of these dolts seem to think that the acceleration is done after they merge...

Driving on the Motorway is a form of social interaction, and therefore a form of warfare. Because this is a form of warfare; some people's doctrines will be more aggressive than others!

Now back to Stellar domination, ha haa ha haaa haaa ha, ha haa ha haaa haaa ha haa,ha haa ha haaa haaa ha etc etc etc.

I learned to drive in Los Angeles, where they (like Steve Martin in LA Story) teach you how to steer with your knees so that you can have both hands free for reloading. Or as Dave Barry says-their cars are lurching all over the road because they're having trouble with one arm trying to stop their Rottweilers from spilling cocaine on their machine guns.

Comparatively, drivers in Minnesota are pretty darn good. But they just can't figure out the merge thing.

No sir, we have plenty of the native types down here. We just embraced them with a lot less smallpox and a little more persecution than y'all did.

Unfortunately, said reason is lost on most. I don't know how many times I've almost run down a black granny who came to a complete stop in the acceleration lane.
