Still no sign of wee 'un, maybe a good thing since I got in from work 2 hours late and I've only had 2 hours sleep.  It was kicking around when I got in from work though, so hopefully it'll pitch up tomorrow.

You know you are a Coloradoan if ...

You'll eat ice cream in the winter.

When the weather report says it's going to be 65 degrees, you shave your legs and wear a skirt.

It snows a foot and you don't expect school to be cancelled.

You'll wear flip flops every day of the year, regardless of temperature.

You have no accent at all, but can hear other people's. And then you make fun of them.

Anything over 25% is considered humid

Your sense of direction is: Toward the mountains and way from the mountains.

You will drive 10 miles to find the perfect sledding hill.

the Hall of Life rings a bell

You know that April showers bring May blizzards

You buy your flowers to set out on Mother's day, but try and hold off
planting them until just before Father's day.

You grew up planning your Halloween costumes around your coat.

You scoff at the “five-day forecast”

You know what the Continental Divide is.

You don't think Coors beer is that big a deal.

You went to Casa Bonita as a kid, and as an adult.

You've gone off-roading in a vehicle that was never intended for such
activities.

You always know the elevation of where you are.

You shop at King Soopers, but have no idea what Kroger is

You wake up to a beautiful, 80 degree day and you wonder if it's going to snow tomorrow.

You don't care that some company renamed it, the Broncos still play at Mile High

It’s called “pop” and when someone says “soda” you think they are a snob

You know that there is nothing exciting east of Denver.

SPF 90 is not out of the question

You’ve seen the homeless guys outside of Cherry Creek Mall begging for money while listening to iPods.

Your motto is "if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes"

Every movie theater has military and student discounts.

You have to scrape the inside AND the outside of your car windows in the morning.

It snows in the morning you expect it to be gone by lunchtime.

Your dog wears or has worn a bandana

Everybody wears jeans to church.

You actually know that “South Park“ is a real place not just a show on TV

You know what a 'trust fund hippy' is, and you know its natural habitat is Boulder

There is no pizza place like Beau Jo’s in Idaho Springs.

You know what “cruz Feds” means

You know you're talking to a fellow Coloradoan when they call it Elitches, not Six Flags.

Your two favorite teams are the Broncos and whoever is beating the crap out of the Raiders.

You've been to the original Chipotle near the DU campus on Evans.

You know that the best place to get fireworks is Wyoming.

You learned Spanish not from a class, but from your peers

Having a Senator named Nighthorse doesn't seem strange.

You've never seen the tourist attractions in your own city

You know what a “fourteener” is

You think a red light means three more cars can go. The fast lane is for cruising and the slow lane is for passing.

You've seen someone shovel snow in shorts

The only RTD bus you've been on is the 16th Street shuttle

You know what a "Rocky Mountain Oyster" is...and you try to get your
out-of-towner friends to eat one.

You're amazed when you're not driving through road construction.

You know that Vail is a place for tourists

As a kid, you wore a button that said “DAM” (Denver Art Museum) and thought it was hilarious

You never plan a picnic between 3:30p.m. and 6:00p.m. in the Spring or Summer months.

It rains more than 2 days straight and you compare the weather to being in Seattle.

You know that it doesn’t snow in July/August... usually

You don’t even notice that the airport is in the middle of nowhere anymore

You can name the states that make up the Four Corners.

You have jumped off of the roof of a 2 story or higher building with nothing to stop you but snow.

When people out East tell you they have mountains in their state too, you just laugh.

You've ever driven through the Eisenhower Tunnel and it's been dumping snow on one side and 70 degrees and sunny on the other.

You would know Attorney Frank Azar (The Strong Arm) and Jake Jabs (American Furniture Waaaaaarehouse) if you saw them on the street.

You know what the Mousetrap is

You can recognize the license plates of all 50 states on sight

John Elway will always be your hero

You loved the Rockies before they made it to the World Series

You know exactly where The Shane Company is located (just off of Arapahoe Road on Emporia one half-mile east of I-25) even though you have never been there

T-Rex is more than just a dinosaur to you

There is no pizza place like Beau Jo’s in Idaho Springs.

Jo mama, mountain boy. Sonny's Olive Garden, Camino Capistrano, San Clemente, CA. Serving 3 generations of Federal Witness Protection Program participants, without a single drive-by.

Ok, so the cannelloni's a bit a bit thin, and the veal could use a few more capers, but what the hey. The pizza is pretty good.

Off to put up crimbo deckies.

Pedigree and Boddingtons really goes to your head when you have 3 pints before dinner...

Well, I wish it could be Christmas every day...

When you land on your head then you know you've been Slaid.

Messing around with my first AI campaign. Love the new search arc key. Makes all the difference. Now if I could just get WitpTracker to work with AE on my box.......

Only difference I found with installing WitpTracker into AE; was that you just need the single save (eg. wpae022), and not the whole save file that you needed in WitP.

For me I had a problem with some microsoft file that my version of XP didn't have (and being on dialup I have never updated XP, as my computer would be spending all its time downloading updates and never getting to do anything else!).

funny list scott. Having lived in Memphis my entire life it is almost hard for me to visualize 2 plus feet of snow. I spent some time in Sun Valley one winter, and drifts in some places was higher than a 2 story building. It seemed surreal to me

One must have a bit of curiosity as to why Swedes are studying the Vietnam war.

The course is an introduction on (joint) operations. We're using Vietnam as a case study as it's fairly well documented from both sides and a lot of lessons to be learned. This week is an introduction week. Next week the students will be split into two teams, one allied and one North Vietnamese. Both sides will "redo" the operational planning and then we'll wargame both sides against each other.

Fun!

I bet you someone will complained that the land combat model got nerfed in the last patch.

Unlike IT, prostitution rarely experiences downturns.

i suppose. Bummer really. Should have known it was too good to be true. They did not advertise themselves as a staffing company in the original add....then when i got the call, the "recruiter" was typically evasive to some pointed questions i had. Still.....there were some attractive aspects so I did some research. Thank god for research. Big letdown.

ah well.........doing a first in other news. I just finished D'Este's Decision at Normandy which i had picked up at a used bookstore for a steal.......I had noticed that said same used bookstore also had a cheap copy of Hasting's Overlord so I picked tha up yesterday. So for the first time, i'm reading consecutive back to back accounts on the same battle/campaign/subject. Should prove interesting to see another author's take and approach on a battle with the previous account still fresh in one's mind.

Sorry Nik, I missed the beginning of this, but what exactly is the issue with that firm (so I can avoid pitfalls in my future pursuits)?

What was the award for that - the "Terminus Star" with clusters?
