No acute problem. However, I have had the same problem for years that I've heard others complain about.

Basically, for a few minutes at a time the forum does not respond. Particular problem when trying to submit a post, attach a file, etc.

I know the problem is not on this end because I've experienced it for so long that I have by now changed computers, houses, service providers, and even states. I've presumed it is something on the Matrix end or their service provider.

EDIT: This very post (prior to editing) took 3 minutes 'waiting for matrixgames.com' to post after I hit 'OK'.

I should also point out that I have no such problems with any other sites whatsoever.

I've had that problem very intermittently myself. I attribute it to a temporary high level of server activity. It used to happen more often - now I only experience it about once every 3 months. When it used to happen more often, I got into the habit of composing my longer posts in note pad and then cut/paste to matrix, but dramatic reduction in issues over the past 18 months has gotten me "lazy"again - so I lost one post a few weeks ago. But problem does not happen to me very often since about 18 months ago.

Still get the problem several times per day. There was a period of a couple of months when it got better, but it went back to bad. BTW, it's not just when posting, even just click on a thread or try to refresh the forum.

I still can't get in.

Try dinner and a movie.

And drinks, several drinks seemed to help in certain situations.

I had the problem this morning.  I ended up at a Nework Solutions page.  Working now, obviously I'm here.

I've been having problems accessing Matrix Games through Explorer, but not through AOL.  Also, I've found that once the problem is fixed I still have to close out of Explorer and re-open it to gain access to Matrix Games. At the moment the problem seems resolved.  I am curious, though, about what's been going on,

I'm not having any problems accessing Matrix today or last night - but I am getting emails from number of people saying they cannot access - are there any people who have had intermittent issues? Is Matrix making any changes? Again, I have had zero issues - but I am hearing reports from multiple people who are having issues.

Joe, I think it all depend on the ISP provider...

I use several ISPs and some of them have problem (instead of matrixgames they send me to some ".com" site with advertisements) - my main one is OK (I am writing this from that ISP right now).

The problem is that my work ISP has problem... I will see how things will be tomorrow at work...

Thus, I think this is some weird DNS issue/problem!

PING from my main ISP:

www.matrixgames.com = 64.111.28.20

PING from one of my other ISPs (remotely on my workstation at work):

www.matrixgames.com = 209.62.105.19

As I suspected my work ISP still has problems...

The only (quick) way I can do is to manually enter the true MatrixGames IP into my table...

Thus:

Go to

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

edit the

hosts

file and enter

64.111.28.20 matrixgames.com
64.111.28.20 www.matrixgames.com

It's OK now (17:00 GMT) but I couldn't access Matrix from at 08:00 GMT until about an hour ago. A site wanting to sell the URL but advertising wargames came up instead.

had the same problem yesterday, no problem today obviously

I spent the bulk of yesterday being unable to reach the forum and instead I also landed with Network Solutions with the same message.  I wanted to post in my WITP AAR, couldn't, and had no turns to do.  Withdrawl..............Then last night I finally was able to get to the forum, and got a turn.  PHEW!

At a command prompt, try:

ipconfig /flushdns

That may help.

Hi all,

Guys, as a stopgap measure you can always do what I wrote few messages above (i.e. override the DNS of your ISP with entry on your PC)!

Some people are ending up at Network Solutions telling them that the domain name registration has expired and it needs to be re-registered.
