In the BoB 40 campaign I've noticed the following:

Some aircraft have a load value but cannot carry bombs or drop tanks. (Bf-109E-4)

Some aircraft have a load value and carry bombs or drop tanks. (Most)

Some aircraft do not have a load value, but still carry bombs. (Bf-110C-6)

So my question is, what does the load value actually mean?

the C-6 is really suppost to only have the 30mm Kannon for damage, but it don't do damage in the game the same way it would of done in real life, so I gave it some small bombs to do the damage

That makes sense. Thanks!

Is there any significance to the aircraft that have a load value but don't carry any type of bomb or drop tanks? Or is the number simply meaningless in game terms when applied to those aircraft?

what should be, and what shouldn't be ????

there is suppost to be a minor penalty if flown overloaded, but, since the player has no control over it, I didn't see any Major effect one way or the other, so, sometimes I didn't add it all up

a plane type with a load number, but no load, is fine (changes made to plane later on)

some planes were planned to have other load outs, but in the long run, no set view on what those loads should be (and by the code, we could only do 2, so lost some "need" as time went on

(IE the B-17 could carry 2000, 1000 or even 250-100 pounders, depending on the target and range)

That answers it. Thanks again!

This kind of help is the reason I buy games from Matrix. I've purchased some games I've been happy with, and some I've not been as happy with. But never once have I felt that I was ripped off or abandoned by Matrix. Excellent work to all involved.

(And this is definitely one of the purchases I've been most happy with!)

Thank you and I am glad you are enjoying it, most of us who worked on it, loved it way back when, and always wanted to try and make it better, to fix the little things that were wrong

hopefully we did that (I know the list of bugs we killed and the new stuff we added is kind of large, it may look like the old game and play like it, but the insides have been reworked, much more then people think

and hopefully, we will be able to improve it more (just getting the RCM stuff working correctly, should be a major improvement) Harley reworked a lot of how the art is done, speeding the game up
