I got a new .......WASHER! my old one was like 25+ years old I think. A good ole Maytag and that's what I replaced it with. Got tired of having to stand there and cycle the timer as the timer after all those years finally lost its teeth.

I also got Torchlight which is so much like Diablo they might as well have called it Diablo with new graphics. It's on sale at Direct 2 Drive 1/2 price for $9.99
Electronic Arts has a sale on all their games and if you buy two digital downloads you get 40% off and I'm tempted to buy Dragon Age with Mass Effect which they've marked down to $9.99 and with all the discounts and all it would come to $32.99 for Dragon Age and I'd get Mass Effect for free (relatively speaking of course). The only thing is the long download time for Dragon Age.
I won't post the link but if you goto EA's normal website and then store you'll see the big ad.
So what did you get?

I got a blue-tooth remote control for my PS/3, and a couple of bottles of wine. Yay, no more having to control the DVD's and BD's using the six-axis controller!

I got an iPhone 3Gs and already love this device. It's just sexy.

Also some clothes, books and DVD's. No wargames though, as I usually purchase for myself what I'm interested in and my family isn't into gaming.

Two Matrix games on sale.  War Between the States and Flashpoint Germany.  Outside of those, which I bought myself with wife's approval, don't know what surprises the wife has for me.

I really enjoyed Dragons Age, good game, you may have to baby sit your "people" a little too much at the start, but good decent story, some good humor, so tuff choices

(kind of odd with the party set up, you need a Thief, and you need a Damage Wizard, one of the other two slots has to be a Combat type, best if both are, you have a number of people pick from, but, if you one of the fighters, you pretty much are stuck with who the Thief and Wizard are going to be, game really needed another slot (for the healer) it is pretty ruff, getting though the battles, if you pick the healer, you lose the thief or the wizard)

but even with that, it is a good game, if you can grab it for cheap, get it

(for a Adult RPG, I think the Witcher is still better, but this is a very close 2nd)

I bought myself a Sony Camcorder, various cookware, clothes, a new DVD drive, and a 750 gig HD so I could install Windows 7 on a virgin drive on one of my boxes.

I got a $100 Amazon gift certificate from my younger son that I used for the cookware. Other than that, I'm afraid we didn't even exchange gifts this year. My daughter in Guam is in the middle of buying a house, and my older son hasn't given anyone a gift in years.

Not a lot of Christmas spirit other than sending out a ton of e-cards and then enjoying the responses from old friends as we get back in touch. Maybe when I finally get to be a grandmother we can go back to traditional Christmas festivities.

I am hosting a post-Christmas dinner on Saturday for my adopted Navajo family which will be about 15 people plus some other Navajo friends. I'm not sure if that counts for Christmas, but it will be fun. I'm baking cookies at the moment while thawing out the turkey.

Merry Christmas to all of you and especially to those with small children still at home.

As an oldie the best gift I get is spending Christmas eve watching Carols by Candlelight on TV, A tradition I haven't missed for 30 years, and last night was the sixteenth time I have watched them with my daughter. As that credit card says, some things are just priceless.

My kids went together and got me the Amazon Kindle, which is pretty damn neat, and the wife got me a new cordless drill set, which will make life easier. Mother-in-law sent an Amazon gift card which is going for books for the new Kindle and mother sent some cash which will go for a jacket for the new Kindle.

My coolest gift was a Bluetooth headset. Now I feel like I'm on the cutting edge.

One other thing worth mentioning; Last night I met a new Niece in-law. She is from Copenhagen. She made a punch of sorts-don't recall what it is called. It had Port, Burgundy, a spice ball (could taste Cinnamon), maybe raisins, almonds and quite warm. I tell you what, I could have happily gotten drunk off that stuff. It was delicious-and just strong enough. I will get that recipe.

My Current Laptop is Gateway.. I've been very happy with it for 3 years.. just installed Windows 7 on it.. it runs really nice... I was just looking for one with a lil more oompf.. figured I could run Company of Heroes.. Total War Medieval.. and maybe try HOI3 after the next patch.... still not sure if I should try and get another one (in case I just had bad luck)..
