Several questions....

1) What do the colors (green and orange) indicate for the various pilot skill categories? The air unit pilot display I attached is of a fighter squadron that has been training at 100% training level for Escort mission over a period of several days.

Note: It appears that pilots in air units training in the Eastern U.S. don't get tired, unlike pilots in air units that are training elsewhere.

2) Is there any information out there about which pilot skills get upgraded with training for each specific air mission?

3) Does training for a specific air mission also upgrade a pilot's experience level? Or is it necessary to put pilots through "general training" before moving them on to train for specific mission(s)?

Green is for last turn improvement; Orange is for current month improvement

Somewhere but it is pretty logical. Escort is Air to Air; bombing is ground bombing; 6000 ft is boundary for high /low skills; must have "using torpedoes" on for NavTorp skill; defense improves with any;

3) Does training for a specific air mission also upgrade a pilot's experience level? Or is it necessary to put pilots through "general training" before moving them on to train for specific mission(s)?

Experience is very slow via training and is mostly earned thru actual flying.

Also note that low skills improve much faster than higher say around 50 or more.
