Learned something new today. Despite being written in 1814, The Star Spangled Banner didn't become the American national anthem until 1931.

I knew that

As I have a minor in history I better darn well know that

Just YouTube'd the classic clip of Jimi Hendrix playing it at Woodstock. Wonder how many drugs he was on at the time, and yet still could do what he did with that upside-down guitar of his?

I happened to know that fact, but I grew up as a small child playing all over Fort McHenry, just a few blocks from my house.

Well, I'm also an American, but we all know how much that means when it comes to knowledge of history.

Who is a lucky Boy then, a good lasagna is probably My favorite meal. Mrs Divepac reckons that's the only meal I ask for, other than a good steak that is.

The pizza was a frozen pizza. However I jazzed it up with extra cheese, oregano and a little olive oil.

Hmmph...coming out of the pool at the YMCA (indoor pool, thank you very much, we're not THAT hardy), it was a balmy -4F. By the time we got home it was -6F. Supposed to get down to about -15F tonight. Of course, that's without the wind chill...
