Just curious here: I'm watching a DVD copy of VAS that I picked up at Cracker Barrell the other day. I notice some of the sequences of the Pearl Harbor attack (episode 2: The Pacific Boils Over) appear to be re-enacted. There are, for instance, Dauntless SBDs painted with meatballs, some shots of model ships and planes, and a few "dramatic" sequences of navy crews firing back at the attacking planes. Does anyone with some knowledge of the series know whether this footage was borrowed from a movie (or movies) or was it shot especially for VAS? It is clearly not "live" (not that that matters to me - again, just curious).

Thanks much!
