Hi, when someone starts a pbem, do they get to do their initial turn or is the first turn sent to your opponent to get things going?

Depends on which side you pick.

If you pick the side that moves first for the scenario, then you move first.... if you pick the side the moves second, then your opponent moves first.

Abnormalmind,

There is a great explanation at the Blitz war gamers site.
Check out http://www.theblitz.org/index.php
This takes you to home page. Look under G-1/ ADMIN "training grounds" and it goes into great detail on how to proceed with PBEM.

I joined the site years ago & have enjoyed it greatly. You can find rookies as well as vets. Sign up on the forum & the members will answer other questions.

PBEM is a RUSH!!!

Good luck.

Ah, found it by using the wayback machine. I hope this helps:

EDIT: But without pictures. Ouch.

Thanks Crossroads. I read through it but don't see where we are going wrong. We aren't using passwords, but don't think that should matter really. We'll try the next exchange with passwords however, just to follow along I guess.

OK, found the problem a few days ago. Make sure you have all the patches downloaded so both of you are playing the same version of the game. We weren't!
