Finally caught up with my PBEM games, now it's time for Life on Mars   It's 1973, almost dinner time.  I'm 'avin 'oops

Martin, still playing BoB-BtR with Kristian or you abandoned it?

I gave the Luftwaffe a spanking It ended (a day earlier than the manual claims) because the LW didn't have a high enough AS score. IIRC the AS score was off from the manual as well, maybe just as well for the Germans though. I'd just got a fresh injection of fighter squadrons and the Spitfire and Hurri IIs were entering service.
I told you I was winning Although I struggled a bit during the second week, several units took some hard knocks, I still had plenty of reserves available. I've got BoB games against Hard Sarge (as RAF) and sprior (as LW) and BTR against swift as the Allies.

RGR!

BTW, will Kristian and you play another PBEM?

No doubt Oxfordshire has come to a screeching halt now that we've had a few inches of snow...

Sussex has!

Probably because snow is so unexpected in England

Hi all,

How is the weather in UK Martin and Simon?

Here we have 20 cm of snow and -1 degrees Centigrade...

Of course stupid here, for the second time this week, is at work while others wimp out. Should have stayed home and done my oustanding BoB and BTR turns. Anway had a good BTR turn last night, destroyed 125 allied aircrafy for the loss of 15. Most of the execution was done by ju88s and Do217 getting into the bomber stream and pulling down 70 BC aircraft.

We've got about 4-5 inches here. Enough that the dog lost her ball a dozen times on the walk and had to stick her entire head under the snow to find it

PBEM, he went after Berlin after only about 14 days into the game.

Interesting. But flawed. After 14 days you're still in the summer, Berlin is a winter target if you go there. And if I did I'd have every Mossie and Beaufighter in 100 Group up at the same time.

I'm a month in against swift and I've limited BC to the Ruhr, Southern France and the area around Bremen. Those Lancs and Halis will make a mess of almost any industrial facility. According to my recce three of the AFACs in the cluster in SW France are in ruins after a single small raid on each.

What are you using as your main NJ type? I've always been quite fond of the 217N and Ju88G, speed and MVR are less important than guns and endurance at night when you're dealing with BC 4E heavies. There doesn't seem to be much love for the 'traditional' mainstay types though, everyone goes straight for the 219...

I had a shed load of 110s up but they achieved very little, the damage was all done by the Ju88s and Do217's. Quite a few got 2 kills in the same night.

Welcome ! So do you live up there in the land of the Grand Ole Opry ?

Yes, the Opry is in Nashville, about 40 miles from me.

Brrrrr, 10 degrees is very cold here. Yeah, I know you guys from the northern climates are used to these temps, but I moved down here from Upstate NY to get away from below freezing temps and 150+ inches of snow a year.

It is fun to watch these ID10Ts drive in snow down here...

It has to be a certian size (don't remember what it is). If it's too big it won't appear.

Welcome nashvillen. Also, when you've uploaded the avatar, make sure you click "apply" on the bottom of the profile page. That button is quite easy to miss.

It is a 145x145 image of a Klingon rank in the Star Fleet Universe. I resized it down to the size the uploader asked for. I am going to try a different image just to see if it works on something else.

Now with a different picture...

None of this is working. Maybe it is that I am going through a proxy server. I will try again at home tonight on my personal computer.
