Hey guys,

My wife had a medical emergency on Thursday and is still in the hospital. The life threatening stage is past. I'm exhausted. Will play my turn tomorrow.

A tongue in cheek suggestion that we go back to turn 24 so I might avoid a current pitfall-only in jest, of course.

Uh oh. Have you guys been waiting for me all this time?  Will check my inbox and see if I have screwed the pooch yet again . . .

ADDIT: yep, evidently I'm a week late on playing my turn. Not sure how that happened, other than that I am crazy busy with work. Sorry :(

So glad I'm only in one PBEM these days. . . playing turn and will send to Matto asap.

Okay, Turn 88 returned to Matto. If I ever delay like that again, somebody just smack me to wake me up okay? My wife is fine, and all that happened was I just more or less forgot to play my turn. Here the past day or so I've had in the back of my mind "Seems like it has been a long time since I got a turn from that CoG PBEM . . .

I just wanted to add: any recent flakiness on my part is in no way related to the fortunes of Russia in the game, or any lack of commitment to this PBEM. Naturally, these long-term things tend to ebb and flow, but I want to restate that I am firmly committed to playing this one to the bitter end, and I hope everyone feels the same. This is my only PBEM right now, and the only one I intend to get into for the next six months plus. The only other game I'm playing right now is learning EU3-HTT, which is great for evening wind-down time, but does not interfere with keeping up with this PBEM and never will. I'm _slowly_ ramping down my gaming time, but keeping up with this PBEM is one priority that I don't want to lose track of. I hope we can get turn-times back up in the near future, what with the holidays being over.

Seriously, if I ever seem to be taking too long, someone please smack me with an email and say "Hey! WTF!?"

RusDone T89.

The end of a century draws nigh!

Looks like it is going to be very cold in the Baltic region this holiday season. Would be a shame if any visitors from overseas had to sleep out of doors without nice warm mittens or campfires and such. Could be some nasty chest colds, frost bite, maybe even some fatalities what with all this snow

Lets get this game back up to speed. 48 hours should be the normal max with 24 as a regular turn around. I don't want to be a nag, but at the rate we are going it will take 3 more years to complete this game-that is not reasonable. We can easily finish this game in a year.

Having said that, in about 2 weeks I will be out of the loop for 6 days.
