Sorry if these are FAQs, but...

Will any new features/improvements/bug fixes in Modern Wars be retro-fitted to earlier JTCS games?

After Modern Wars, what again are the plans and time schedules for East Front, West Front, and Rising Sun patches, if any?

Wow, that sounds as a *lot* of work Jason. Good to see this game/game engine, is alive as it was 10 years ago.

++1

I am tempted by newer games (new for newness sake?), but I keep returning to the classics. This game series is classic. May it survive another 10 years and more.

Of course, the UPDATES will be of varying size, depending on what they contain.

I am hoping that each UPDATE will include at the very minimum new scenarios, campaigns, and units with expanded order of battles.

As long as I am around and able, there will be UPDATES available.

Yes, I have been playing this game for ten years (since the early Talonsoft days) and haven't found any tactical WWII game that is as challenging and and comprehensive in scope. I prefer game substance (and this has plenty of it) over graphics so don't mind the outdated graphics The AI on defense puts up just enough of a good fight to be challenging most of the time, but allow the experienced player to consistently win (which is good since losing sux).

I, too, have been playing since the Talonsoft days. (Sad, sad day when Talonsoft died.) I was ecstatic when Matrix revived JTCS.

The JTCS graphics don't overtax older systems, have great visual appeal, and to me look just right. In this game series, graphically less is more.

I fully agree on the game substance, and the AI is acceptably good.

This game series fires on all cylinders. You can't say that about many games.
