Multiplayer is listed as wego in the specs page. It says hot seat is only supported not tcpip or pbem. Isn't wego like simultanious turns like the option in CIV IV? Is there multiplayer? Is tcpip definatly not supported?

Yeah, only hot seat. It is called such because the chair in front of the pc will always be "hot".

Are they still considering doing a TCIP/LAN option? It was the only reason I bought the game :)

Very much still considering it. Personally I was very disappointed to have to drop it. It is however a lot of work for a small developer, and there are other things to improve first.

Actually, i think that pbem would be nice too for such a game.

True but in a 4 hour lan session with a few friends I can get literally 6 months worth of PBEM done with a whole lot more enjoyment. Nothing like doing a 5 min PBEM email turn and then waiting a week for everyone else to finish their turns before you get another 5-10min turn. Not for me. Well it was last century but not these days :)
Both options though are great to include. I find my age group prefers the PBEM but we are a dying breed haha.

Agreed, PBEM would be nice. I hadn't played it for many many years, but tried it again a couple of years ago. Great fun. I like to take my time playing, so PBEM is perfect. And the anticipation is a killer.

True but TCP/IP I think would be turn based anyways....so your turn is done when it is done. You shouldn't feel rushed. It is key to play with the right people and style of play.

Well I find LAN games are at least 4-5 times faster in a 1vs1 game and significantly faster the more players you throw in the mix. Hey I would take anything over an AI.
