As it stands, you can tell your aircraft to initiate attacks on ground targets at a specific hex e.g. I want you to bomb lunga.

The AI decides on its own though, which targets to bomb in Lunga.

The AI has a habit of picking the same target over, and over, and over again.

This leads to the effect where the enemy will place four strong regiments in a position. You can bomb it with 400 or so medium bombers and rapidly reduce one of those regiments to shambles.

The AI will keep bombing that shell of a regiment though, ignoring the three nice, fat, juicy regimets which also occupy that square.

There needs to be some way to either choose ywhich particular ground target to hit, or to force the AI to always hit the largest ground target. As it stands, Air to Ground can neutralize one regiment per base, and that's basically it.
