04.40 am. Time certainly flies away when you're doing a turn.

Guess it's time to go to bed.

G'night gents

Mornin' gents!

Back from a 7 day visit to Phoenix.

Did you guys know that they have water in the aqueous phase down there? Seems a bit odd, but to each their own, I guess. It does make trips to the pool somewhat more enjoyable, if I may say so.

What's been happening on THE THREAD!!! while I've been away?

It seems that a new ice rink has opened in town, much closer to our front door than the others.

Its blatantly obvious that you guys do not get snow regularly. If this were NY, some truck would have come by, spraying salt every which way, and pushing the snow from the road into treat big piles in your driveway.

Now, is that a Civic Del Sol in the background there?

Luckily, I spent most of my time staring at the laptop screen. I only looked at the TV when someone said something particularly stupid. That one girl give do a very creditable effort to the opera aria (forget which one, but the first one that attempted opera, the second was terrible).

Nope, that one's in the garage. We put the Brit car in the driveway, along with our weekend house guest's car.

I think the Military channel is being co-opted. There is one show today about " LBJ and the Civil Rights Movement ", followed by " The MLK Jr. Assassination ". Both may be interesting topics, but what the hell are they on the MC for ? I guess the History Channel ran out of programming room due to all of the " Ancient Aliens " and Bigfoot shows.

Lets not forget the various loggers, truckers and pawn shop people (although I have to admit that the last one did get my attention for 2 episodes).

The few state DOT trucks have spent almost all their time working on the interstate highways. Most of the secondary roads are not plowed or salted yet. Going to get very cold tonight, so they have already started canceling schools in the area for tomorrow.

And yes, the neighbor up the street does have a Del Sol. This pic was taken by my wife, standing in our garage. We've never skated down hill before.

They are actually playing very well right now. Too bad the first two months of the season were so horrible, or they might have a chance to make the playoffs. They have kicked the stuffing out of the Rangers and Islanders in the last week.

Yeah, our other car is a Jaguar XK8 convertible.

Your son must have just heard about it when the picture was taken. He looks terribly broken up about it.

I didnt think any of those things were still running. When I worked for the lizard we had a loss where one of those was broadsided by a Chrysler 300. I've never seen a car reduced to scrap so thoroughly with so little damage to the impacting vehicle.
