Ciao guys some question for you
First technical question: How to take a screen shot of W@W (i.e. maps... ) The manual doesn't mention any hot key ... I try to use HyperSnap-DX but the colors were... ehm...not that good...
Second technical question: I forgot this... I think it wasn't that important...
Third technical question: about the previous email (the Partisan destroyed my HQ) If with the Reinforcement request I call for a Forward Observer it possible to use again the off board artillery?
Fourth technical question IF a damn SO Parisian destroyed your HQ... it is possible to buy a new one with the Reinforcement Request?
Last technical question ( for now ) HOW TO CONVINCE THE DAMN PILOT OF EVERY DAMN AIRPLANE THAT A TRUCK IS NOT IMPORTANT LIKE THE ANTI TANKS UNIT NEAR IT?
Thanks
Lazarus

Hypersnap has worked well for me, Sandro. It is what I faithfully use for taking screenshots. My eyesight is not that good and with partial colorblindness, I cannot say if the colors are top notch. They do look good to me.
As to the leader being lost and replaced with reinforcements, you could get a HQ unit but I don't think it would go to the A0 slot. And I am not sure how much influence it would have. That is a good question.
As for FO, I would think it would work fine. Sometimes the A0 can be substituted to do the job. Often when I cannot connect with the F0, I try other command units, A0, B0, any with an officer rating and sometimes they will connect when the FO won't.
I think aircraft are coded to seek out vehicles as top priority. It would be nice to exclude trucks and vehicles of lesser importance.
It would also be nice to have the plane bomb what he is ordered to bomb every time, but alas, it does not always work that way.

At least it was an enemy truck and not yours

Even better your truck then your own A0! By reading the articles it sure sounds like some of the guys spend a fortune on airpower. I myself prefer to have units I can control, unless I have points to burn, then I can afford to have my own units bombed.
If you lose your HQ (AO) unit, you don't lose the ability to fire from off-board. Any O unit with a radio can call fires. Better though, to use an FO. If you don't have one, it is a real good item to purchase with reinforcement points.
The HQ units for sale in Miscelleous are different from the AO unit. But beware, they are not able to move.
Trucks are (and really were) a prime target.

With respect to shooting up trucks rather than anti-tank guns near them -
Firstly, trucks are usually bigger and thus easier to spot and kill, also by destroying the vehicle you have stopped the gun being repositioned.
Sometimes the truck by the gun will be an ammo truck. By killing the truck you may also kill the gun.
Well consider this: If The plane destroyes the AT gun that is stopping my units I can take care of the truck by myself using my tanks... KAO16: who cares is the unit can't be moved: My opponent is not going to move it anyway because this AT gun is covering his flank!!!
thanks for the answer guys...

In one of the setup screens for HyperSnap, there's a check box that says something like: "Special graphics modes (DirectX, OpenGL, etc.)" Make sure that button is checked and the colors will come out right.

The issue of aircraft targeting has been discussed before. I believe it is generally more realistic to attack vehicles than infantry or guns. As stated elsewhere, vehicles are much more obvious targets to the pilots. Remember we are simulating a plane going over 200 MPH at low altitude. The pilot has very little time to choose his target.
THis does bring up an interesting defensive strategy. I've never tried it but it might be worth scatering a bunch of cheap trucks on elevated terrain in your rear area to attract enemy bombers. Now that would be hazardous duty!

In my opinion this pilots “ability” about attack trucks and not AT-guns is a “double edge sword” (I don’t know if the expression exist in English): it can be a nuisance if happens to your planes, but can be great if the AI planes are the ones which attack on you!
Example. I usually make the following thing. I Place an Self Propelled Artillery Unit and a Truck in the same hexagon. The SPA shots its rounds. The “smoke” appears on the hexagon, and the AI see it. He says: “There are the enemy artillery, I’ll order an air raid on this hexagon!”. Then I move my SPA to other hexagon, but leaving the truck in the original one. Then an airplane come into attack... and shots the truck! My SPA is still alive and ready for another artillery round . At the end of the battle I recommend de valiant truck crew for a posthumous medal.
I don’t use to much air power, so I don’t have to much experience whit it. But I have the following feeling: Although there’re ground support specialist planes and other bombers in general, it seems to me that all of them follow the same patron when come into attack. I know that the GSS are better in spot the enemy and can came again and again during the battle. But I think that there have to be some other differences. Example: a P-47 and a B-25 seems to attack in the same way: they localize the target and start to shot their weapons. What I think is that the B-25 pilots didn’t see their objectives. The B-25 flew at medium or high altitude and drop their bombs where their were ordered. I don’t think that they saw the objective they were bombarding unless it was a bridge, a big fortification or a train road. What I mean is that seems logical that a Typhoon or a P-47 attacks a truck in spite of a AT-gun, but I feel that a B-25 should attack the hexagon that it have be ordered to attack. To put in another way: I think that medium and heavy bombers should behave more like artillery than as airplanes. (I read on another topic that we will probably have B-17 soon, I think that this is specially applicable to them)
