Okay im the japanese in september 42 and i captured port morsby 2 months ago with 25k of the emperors finest. Anyway it seems that numerous bases are expanding bejond the maxium size for example shortland has a size 7 airfield even though it says the max is size 1.

Same goes for the allied controlled gili gili its at size 6 while max should be 3 i guess this does help them keep the 35k troops there supplied.

Radoi airfield expands bejond size 8 as well its currently at 9.

Is this a known issue and being looked at it looks like a simple tweak to fix.

Beware, the max size for a port (or an airfield) is SPS + 3.

Ex : the SPS airfield for Gili is 3 so the airfield max size is 6.

However, for the Shortlands, you seem to have found a bug. Are you sure it is the airfield size and not the port size ?

Bases can expand to their Standard Potential Size (SPS) +3. Which means a base that has a Port SPS of (0) and Airfield SPS of(1) can be expanded up to Port 3 Airfield 4. It takes longer and uses more supplies to expand above the SPS.

This is in the manual but I missed it too. Only found out when I started reading this board.

Now if you have an airfield that is a size 7 and the SPS is (1) something is wrong based on my knowledge of how this works.

Edit - Sorry Spooky didn't see your post when I answered.

Btw just wondering but shoudnt jap torps be more accurate it seems the hit rate is below 10% on average.

Also if i got a surface TF in port to defend against a bomardment do i suffer a penalty since it seems my forces always gets beaten even though they got a superior commander ( Tanaka) and say 4 BB's in the TF compared to just CA's,CL's and DD's. Not to add that the fights are usually at night so i should geta bonus but it seems the results are weird on a consistent basis.
