Speaking of books I'm currently reading a book about some Israeli soldiers

http://www.amazon.com/Beaufort-Ron-Leshem/dp/0553385291/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1265263020&sr=8-2

Its a fiction book but its based on true events. My wife recommended it to me and she is Israeli and was in the Israeli army. Another good book on the six day war that my wife recommended to me is

http://www.amazon.com/Six-Days-War-Making-Modern/dp/0345461924/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1265263165&sr=1-1

I also want to get this book here on the American army in Vietnam

http://www.amazon.com/Rise-Fall-American-Army/dp/089141827X/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1265020606&sr=8-12

Got a meeting with a headhunter this morning. Pretty sure she's British. Should I impersonate the GEICO gecko?

No, but you should take on the effects of a gentleman. Say 'what what' and 'I say'. End the interview with 'right then' and you'll be right as rain.

Wait a minute...did you actually *want* this job? If so, please 'disregard'.

I will bet you money (though I dont have much of it left) that I would have better chances of landing a job if I had a Brit accent. I think that Americans are just predisposed towards it.

Hi Guys, 34C here at the moment... in My shorts, with all the fans going, still can't keep cool, will have to go for a swim in the Lake.

34C is hot? 40C is getting hot. 47-48C - now that's hot.

We use both of the last two books here at the Defense College. I've read them both and think they're quite ok.

raining.

Good news for daughter, she got an unconditional acceptance to the 6th form college she wanted. That's a bit less teenage angst to deal with.

bad news for son. face kissed the floor this morning at school. Bloody nose, on his way to the quacks.

Morning chaps   Finally got to bed at 0200 this morning.  I've somehow managed to get suckered into the late evening feed which is meant to be at 2300, but for some reason he wanted to sleep until 1am   And then he screamed everytime I tried to take the bottle away to burp him.  On the positive side he's started smiling a lot lately

Yes, but you were probably using words that they didnt understand and just hired you because of the perceived embarrassment at their lack of vocabulary.

Congrats!

Here's an idea. Find out where he is and go up there with him. If you can impress him with your half-pipe skillz I bet he'll hire you on the spot.

Just got an definite invite to a 2nd interview there as 3rd level team lead/systems architect for Tuesday. Apparently they're "really keen".
