Ok then, maybe I should tell you that I also have an upcoming survival training exercise in a couple of weeks.

I suspect I have some blisters coming my way then as well ...

What does that involve?

Living in a 1-star hotel with no bar ...

No bar!!!

Good luck with that!

So, T, should you catch back the time you loose, or the fact that it was kind of "general" mean you don't have to ?

Day six of Snowmageddon. Heaviest snowfall yet. Extremely windy , all transportation is at a complete stop. What I mean by that is that even the walkers have stopped walking. The birds are walking , but not very far. The snow plows are getting stuck (suppossedly 25% of DC's snowplows are now broken anyway). It's pretty amazing , the only sound you hear is the wind.

Plenty of virgin DVD's, books , a pretty well stocked pantry and a very well supplied bar. They might call it Snowmageddon and snowpocalypse , but I'm calling it "vacation".

I think it's time to steer clear of the "Jap ASW" thread.  That one is trouble brewing.

I quite agree.

I've said my last piece there.

I noticed that you are not afraid of "back-blast" when the eventual ceremonial "locking of the thread" and random banning occurres! Brave man.

That too.

Made my first Old Fashioned last weekend. Needs some work. I did discover I like rye whiskey just fine.

They are not bad with a blended whiskey either. In some areas Rye can be hard to find.

Let them TRY to make me work longer hours because of this.

Let. Them. Try.

I don't understand why anybody would go into that sort of thread, when the title alone tells all about what sort of "content" it will have.

Oh, I fully agree. I was "twitting" Mynok , as he made the last "slam" , having called me not "competant" on walking away the other day.

Any weather is good for AE (assuming that you have power--my only fear). In extreme cold, I generally move on to hard spirits, as they don't freeze as quickly as beer does.
