The new Babes Lite is postes up to the Rogue USMC website soon. I think everything is finished with the lite now and it is stabile. Lite has all of the fixes to the cag groups and all the submarine tubes and some asw fixes and some other fixes. It has much urban renewel too so there is now slots space for modding in the right places. Jwe has instructions ready for the new lite.

This is the last definitive change to the lite. You do not have to use it to have fun with present games, but when it is time to start over it will be there. Nothing is going to change the lite again because all the work is now going to the Big Bad Mod, so if you play with the lite you will be ok for a long time.

The special things will not be in any regular patch because it is too different to put into a regular game. But there is special code that makes the special things work better and you can see when the next patch comes without restarting any game.

I have modded my Da Babes lite extensively, could you please give me a rundown of what this new version brings to the party. It's not that I am that far into my game to start over, it's I would like to avoid starting out with a fresh database. If you can help me out with telling me what's new, I can adjusted those items manually in my mod.

Buck

Well, there's tons.

There's the sub tube stuff, and some DD ASW that Mo did, and a redo of of the PH BBs that makes life more realistic for them. And then "everything" has been aggregated and moved into chunks, so that modding will be easier, and more stuff added, and oh .. my. Just gonna have to check it out because there's too much to talk about.

Good thing is the Lite is done. I mean, unless there is some rancid bug somewhere that requires ALL scenarios to be updated, Lite is done ! Go forth and multiply.

OK.

You twisted my arm.

Sounds good enough for another restart, especially with all the chit-chat about ASW today.

Mo is Osterhut?

Thanks for linking the files for Da babes 2, JWE. Tough week at wwork, next one, but I will make it a point to at least go through the database and take a look.

Thanks again!

Gents;

I am not seeing any of the ARDs in Lite v2 that were present in v1. Not sure if it is a design decision or if I have fat fingered something.

Thank you for the update!

All the best

It has updated my save of my first game with the Babe's Lite so that I see the message in yellow about withdrawals and changes in size in March '43 for the Saratoga at least. So I don't think I will try another restart so soon.

Copied from other thread:

There was an error in this earlier file. It has been fixed, and the new file is here now. Please make sure you have the right one.

The correct file is named Da_Babes_AEScen026_002a Please make sure your zip file says 002a and not just 002.

Scen026 - Now named Da_Babes_AEScen026_002a.zip
Scen026_AI1
Scen026_AI2
Scen027 - Now named Da_Babes_AEScen027_002a.zip
Scen027_AI1
Scen027_AI2

So here's chunk-1

I am more confused than ever JWE.

I re-downloaded the Chunks 1 & 4 and neither zip files are labeled as indicated (nor were any of the first groups of files transmitted). My files are labeled with a 32 (+or-) alpha and numeric names. ( BTW Previous Da Babes files in Dec were labeled like you have indicated)

When I open the zip files Chunks 1 & 4 they have the wxx files with changes but do not appear to have the ae1 xx
files. wait they do have ae1 026 & ae1 027 respectively

I am sure some or all of the above is due to my old tired brain jumbling things up.

Oh, I had already copied and paste the first files sent. What do I do to recoup from any unintended changes?

Buck Beach,

I believe it is the new Zip File that is renamed for chunks 1 & 4 (posts 2 & 5)

Da_Babes_A..026_002a.zip (924.17 KB)
This file has been downloaded 7 times.

It is those files I re-downloaded (I think). Any idea as to why my file names are downloaded with the string name of alpha & numeric character's. I have seen this with other games, but usually from particular uploaders.

Should these files go in a sub- folder in the Scen game folder.

Mine downloaded with the name "584ADE8AFCC84F6893ABF592CD03C745" (very intuitive on what it is ) I don't know why it downloads with that type of name but all of the chunks did.

Download the files into the Scen folder. The ship files (chunk 1) needs to go into the ART folder.
Hope his helps

Hello Buck, drw61 is right on target. When you download any file from the forum, its name gets scrambled when it appears on your desktop. To make sure you are getting the right file, just click on the "attachment" link and make sure that blah_blah_002a shows up in the window. If so, you are good.

The Ship file contained in the original 002 scenario files (for both 026 and 027) was corrupted. The new files are not. If you downloaded the 002 set, earlier, just download the current 002a set and replace the old 002 set. The 002 AI files are fine, but if you want to download the whole thing all over again, no problemo.

For some reason all downloads on these forums seems to do that (for me anyway). But when you look at the file in the little download window (before you actually start downloading the file), that's where you will see the names John referred to.
