ORIGINAL: AW1Steve So if you guys are all spam fans , any one here ever have Chamorro fried rice? Also called Chamorro-slam. Fried Spam is a crucial ingredient. Fans? No...I've had fried spam but I long ago pretty much gave up eating stuff I didn't know where it came from. It's kind of a ultimate "fushion cooking for the Guamians. Something from every culture that's "touched " theirs. Portugese sausage and cubed Spam fried , white Japanese style rice, soy sauce , egg and what ever leftover vegtable you want to throw in (I like chopped green onions, edaname, and whatever I have left , often broccali or english peas). Fry it up and it makes a great breakfast , or side. Pretty much for that reason alone I keep spam around the house. Are you still being exiled to Nebraska, Steve (if I am remembering correctly). If so, they also have a SPAM factory in Fremont so you can get your SPAM nice and fresh.
