The Zero A6M2 had a very good climb rate in fact !

A6M2 initial rate is 4,517 ft min. \7mins 27sec to 19,685

A6M3 initial rate is 4,500 ft min. \7mins 19sec to 19,685

A6m5 --- \ 7mins 1 sec to 19,685

A6M6c initial rate is 3,140 ft min. \7.8 mins to19,685

A6M8c --- \ 6 mins 50 mins to 19,685

info for the fun of it.

MATRIX have the mustangs B with climb rate of 3,400ft over all

this is over rated!

P51b climb rate is 7 mins to 20,000 ft

P51c climb rate is 6.9 mins to 20,000 ft

P51b climb rate is 3.6 mins to 10,000 ft

P51b climb rate is 3.1 mins to 10,000 ft

2,860ft a min looks better!

over the 25 or more years i have been reading, researching, and photographing ww2 aircraft the more history had favored allied air craft over axis !
