Born in Corning, Iowa, raised in Norfolk, Nebraska. My connection is very close. I used to be neighbors with the guy who runs the sewage treatment plant in Corning, Iowa.

They had a competition several years back to come up with a new slogan for the state (they had apparently grown weary of "The Tall Corn State").

My suggestion? "A Good Place to Be From." I guess they didn't get it or appreciate it.

The winner? "A State of Minds." Fortunately for them, it was sh1tcanned (the slogan, not the whole state) before the license plates were stamped with it.

Manure doesn't hold a candle compared to anhydrous ammonia.
