Most of my bases in Java (Allied) have very little supply in them. Yet Batavia and Soerabja each have 50000+. Obviously I've tried boosting the supplies required button upto a few thousand but no luck. Should I try setting it to 20000+ to force the supply out? Seems ungainly if it does work

This question seems to be pretty hot right now. I find this function does work in most cases, but it is very sensitive to your command heirarcy.

If you turn off all other bases supply stockpiling (on Java) and select the base you want, you will aggregate some, up to the limit of the base considering all the factors, such as friendly HQ and unit presence on the island, rail and road network, enemy presence, etc.

You may not get as much as you want, but it will aggregate. Noteable exceptions in my experience are small bases or beach bases.

patch 3 beta is bit more friendly in this respect.

Well I've this patch applied and this turn I set the bases surrounding soerabja to 20000+ - and nothing happened - no supplies were moved.

The next turn I've set Soerabja to 0 supplies so maybes they'll move then.

Seems a bit contrived? Should it be like this??

I think it may be because you have 2 (3?) Command HQs in Soerabaja and Batavia, they all try to stockpile 20k+ in their base for CHQ purposes. This may leave too little to trickle out.

Sardukar,

That could be why - though Soerabaja has 60000 supplies in it. I've set supplies to zero there, to see if they shift this turn...

Thanks

Mike

Ok Soerabaja emptied a bit this turn, by setting its supplies required to zero. However only some of the other bases got supply - others still have next to zero. Slightly bizarre...
