While trying to download Birth of America 2, I apparently did soemthing to royaly screw things up on all of my matrix games that i downlaoded. Nothing works and when I try to unintall anything, I get the message, "Invalid uninstall controll file:C:\MatrixGames\War In The Pacific\Uninstall\uninstall.xml. Obviously in the last example I was trying to uninstall War in the pacific. I think I inadvertantly deleted partial gamwe files and thats whats screwing me up. Id really appreciate any help on this as I hope that I havnt just thrown away over 800 dollars. kirk

First off check to make sure the location of the games is where the error file says they are...if they're not, then you might have inadvertently "moved" your Matrix Games folder. I once accidently clicked and dragged a folder to another location...I noticed it right away, but it would give the same issue as you are receiving.

Is it only your Matrix Games or are other programs playing up? Also, are you using the game uninstall program or Windows? If Windows, then it does sound to me like you might have moved the Matrix Games folder

Worst comes to worst, you can always go to FindMyOrder and enter some details and have your games back. Also remember you can get your serial numbers from Matrix Games Members Area

If you didn't move your folder and your games are all where they should be I might think virus or something has screwed with your registry...you could try a System Restore. I've found them very helpful in the past (especially with things registry related)

Good Luck

I would also scan the disk for errors, and then do a registry scan. (Glary Utilities and Advanced Windows Care are two good freeware diagnostic programs that have this ability.) It's possible your computer has "lost track" of where the files are stored, and so can't run either the programs or the uninstall.

Thanks for the tips everyone. Not quite sure what I did, but everything seems to be working now. I was able to download the games and they seem to be working ok. I know one of my prb. is just getting used to this new windows 7 program. kirk
