You will need version 1.024 of the game or higher.

To run the game with a mod create a shortcut to the file Armada2526.exe in the bin folder. Make the "Start In" folder the root folder where you've installed the game, ie the one that contains the bin folder.

Specify the mod to use with the -mods argument, followed by the name of the mod. So for instance to use a mod named MyMod, your target line in the shortcut properties would read

"...\Armada2526.exe" -mods MyMod

You can use multiple mods together if they're compatible, by separating them with semicolons, (no spaces). eg

"...\Armada2526.exe" -mods UIMod;SoundMod;IcemansMod

You can also supply a prefix for saved games, so you know what games require the mod, using the -sr switch eg,

"...\Armada2526.exe" -sr Ice -mods UIMod;SoundMod;IcemansMod

The mods are applied in the order they're listed, so if they conflict the one listed last gets priority. This means you can even have mods for mods.

When you download a mod, place it in its own folder in the Mods folder of the Armada 2526 save games folder. This will generally be "My Documents\My Games\Armada 2526"

Mod folder names should not contains spaces

If a mod adds new items to the game, then you will only be able to play save games when you start the game with that mod.

It appears that the -sr switch has to go before the -mods switch
