Friend sent this over with the caption "Now I know why someone would watch curling".

White women. Yeeeech.

To each his own, my jaded friend.....'cause these are hawt! And probably every bit as demanding as young Synthia up there.

On a consulting trip into Kazakhstan a couple years ago I visited a local mountain resort area on a weekend. Some young Russian women were walking in a small group down the other side of the road. It was hot out and their selection of clothing was most befitting their tone figures. I could not help but gawk and stare.

They may be Rooskies, but they're hot Rooskies...

Growing up in that culture, I can tell you that there's nothing quite as good or quite as bad as a hot Russian girl. I just have to feel sorry for my American and Latin friends who try to lay down a line with some of these creatures. They just have no clue what they're getting into.

Weekend Parole - Tithe.

All set for some hockey, Mike?

I am! Watching the recorded USA/Finland game now. 2nd intermission, and I think this one has been over for a while. Time to FF through the intermission to finish watching the 3rd period before Canada vs. Slovakia starts.

So how goes the snow shoveling Yuri? Does it make you miss SoCal yet?

Nah. I find it therapeutic. At least when I have nowhere to go and can take my sweet time.

I've always enjoyed it, too.

I'm too young to have seen the original signs, but I've visited South of the Border, and shopped at the Wall Drug store.

Well, my only visit to SoCal was a 2 week vacation in San Diego at the beach, as a 17 year old.  I guess you could say I enjoyed it.

I made a point of not reading online until I had seen the game. Game is over, just have to play one more period.

Are you feeling better, Bruce?

Look out, fellas, we got us a real sophisto here.

Are you sure they were Russian? Kazakh women tend a little more toward the Mongol and other northern Asiatic influences (kinda like me in part of my ancestry). Gettin' a little darker and smokier ... vibrations of horseback archery and grind-it-out yurt and yak living ...

Nah, its quite possible. More than a fair share of the urban population are ethnic Russians. One of my friends is a perfect example. His grandfather was a pilot stationed there during the war and his grandmother was a nurse in an evac hospital. They got hitched and after the war came back to live there.
