BTW, funny that nobody in that thread noticed one most obvious thing - the T-35 (until T-34 85) had just small 2 men turret... the Sherman (and German tanks) had 3 men turret which greatly improved the performance and situation awareness (in early T-34 commander had to fire the gun and observe around - it was impossible task)...

Leo "Apollo11"

Good luck trying to talk sense to any of the "substantive discussion" idiots around here anymore, Leo.

You don't dare say anything of a serious nature to a lynch mob that, despite being divided into two warring factions, has its mind made up and it's the rope for any meddler who dares to trot out a fact or two in support of a well-reasoned assertion.

My God, who are you and what have you done with our insane retired punt sucker? Reason! From pas! My worldview is shaken to the core!

Relax and breathe through your nose. Come to think of it, do you even have one, red man? In any case, perhaps there's a hydroxyl group or two that's causing his behavior. That's a more likely explanation than willing application of reason from Pas, neh? Your worldview restored...

I ... I hardly know what to say ... I was almost sane there for a moment ... it's scary being rational.

I was out of absinthe and the rest of my customary chemicals, and I had to send the girls - you remember the Oouse girls, Pollygam and Omnivar - out for a resupply.

So, there I was - all alone and stone cold sober. Great Cockroach Who Created and Now Kinda Runs the Universe, I had forgotten how panicky sanity can be. Fortunately, I am now back to being happily screwed up and the girls are all dressed up for a session of one of our favorite games - "Derriere Force."

Huh? Did I say something?

Hey, who you callin' Red Man - all the Martian that Bored has is a veneer of iron-rich dust. We real Red Men (well, with at least 1/8 blood, as far as the Tribal Council can tell) look down on cheap imitators (although our trade goods are made in China). Besides, look at 'im. He's a schvartz.

Incidentally, does anyone know if you can use a PC system restore disk to create a Bootcamp Windows partition?

Sure. Do the following:

1. Ctrl-Alt-Del.
2. Swear at computer
3. Ctrl-Alt-Del again
4. Swear (longer, more vigorously, with MERIT) at computer
5. Ctrl-Alt-Del again
6. Kick tower with right leg. Regret it. Apologize to computer. Stroke computer. Ctrl-Alt-Del.
7. Bring up your Task Manager
8. Realize that Task Manager doesn't help
9. Reboot
10. Reload original OS, pre-installed software.
11. Swear off any incidental fictious 'features', such as Bootcamp Windows Partitioning for good.

Hope this helps.

If this was a PC we were discussing, it certainly would. Then again, I know my way around PCs somewhat. However, GFU got herself a Mac, and I have no idea how it works.

Wow! Don't have a ****ing heart attack while you're shoveling snow! Really? Gosh, thanks, Mr. newspaper man. Very enlightening stuff, that. No wonder the NY Times circulation is declining.

Actually, it's from a dream I had the other night. Remember the shoot-out at the end of Scarface, where Tony Montana is so hopped up on cocaine that he can't feel the pain of the assassins' bullets? He yells at them "You can't kill me with your bulleeeets! I take all your bulleeeets!".

In my dream, the visuals were the same, but he kept yelling "chocolate puddiiiing!"...
