Can someone come over and setup widescreen with the new patch? I can't be bothered to research it properly. Oh, and the cat litter needs changing. And can you cut my toe nails too, they're such a long way away. Thanks.

I managed to get wide screen working great with the beta patch, so send me a plane ticket.

BTW, I have 4 cats at home, so I won't be changing any cat litter boxes.....and you will have to look to the East of you to find a toe nail expert.

Oh yeah , definately. Talk em to death Picard, every time. I was always thiinking with him, "Will you JUST SHUT
UP and blow something up!"

Cause that aint how the world works. Like the bumper sticker said "Yee-ha is NOT a foreign policy"

Pffftt...world, schmurld. TNG is about the Galaxy and beyond. That approach to foreign policy seems to suit the Klingons and Romulans quite well.

Speak softly but carry a big stick?

I don't recall the Klingons ever speaking softly about anything. Kablah!

As a ST nerd and purist I would've preferred if you spelled it right. K'Plah!

BTW, If you didn't know, that means "success". Edited; Come to think of it - that gives your spelling attempt a certain irony ...

Sorry for the misspelling, Grollub. Thanks for keeping me on the straight and narrow.

I thought someone was going to call me on the absence of the indefinite article in that exclamation. It is my understanding that K'Plah needed to be followed with 'ho' (sic) or another indefinite article. When included the linguistic usage is as a Klingon 'greeting', but strictly translated meant "What do you want?"

Now that's keeping with the underlying tone in language.

Sure thing. I'll bring my 8" boning knives, rib cutters, poultry shears and #22 scalpel blades with me. I'll take care of those pesky nails in a gif, Sprior. What's your address?

Mike, my wife and I have worked out a mutually satisfactory 'arrangement' re: cleaning cat boxes. The Pavlovian details won't be discussed here, but suffice to say it works well to keep the peace (and the catboxes relatively clean).

My wife and I have worked out the best way of getting it done: we tell our daughter to do it.

Simon, I laughed when I read your post there. Sadly, I believe your sarcasm was completely lost on the original poster.

Roger that. The OP has the dubious distinction of being my second "Green Button" recipient, since his trolling of a few months ago.

Of course, you understand my obligations to respond in as caustic and hyperbolic manner as possible, don't you? It's in my contract here on THE THREAD!!!

No, it's the whole "tell me how to do it, I can't be bothered to look" thing. There's a WHOLE thread devoted to that subject. And not even an acknowlegdement of thanks.
