Do both sides hear the same music?

I play only as the allies, but I like to listen to Japanese music.

Sadly no, I only have 10 music slots to play with, so I split the packages up into entirely one sided, however I can make a mixed package if your interested?

Thanks!

Do you have a list of the original WITP:AE songs? Is there any way to sample them without loading the game (play them in a media player or something?) How did you make them, and can I add more files, or swap in a few of my own?

What you can do is, go in your AE/sound folder - copy the files 1025.sfx to 1034.sfx to a separate folder, say C:\AEsounds

then Use command prompt (start, type CMD) and type in Rename 1025.sfx to 1025.mp3
It will be able to play in windows media or winamp.

Basically what I did to these files was took 10 random songs and renamed them 1025.sfx and replaced the music that was in the game.

Oh, they are just mp3 files? That's shouldn't be a problem then. Are there only 10 slots, or is it possible to add more?

From what I read no, 1025-1034 is music for AE, apparently 1034 does not work in Regular WITP. From what I gather I guess SFX are just mp3 files, i renamed them and listened to them fine on winamp/media player. So basically you can rename any wave/mp3 file to sfx simply renaming it works without a problem.
Someone made a nice sound pack for the original WITP, however so many of the sounds overlapped it was terrible to listen to, example when anti aircraft fire sound came on, it would overlap 2-3 times sounding like a buzzsaw.

It seems like there ought to be a way to add additional music slots to the ten existing, so we could use 1025xxx.SFX or whatever for new songs. Or an if/then statement of sorts to point to a free range of numbers if the game will only recognize four digits (assuming there is a free range).

Even though there are only ten music file slots, it is possible to use a workaround to simply swap these files in/out, ten at a time with a single mouse click using JohnSoft Generic Mod Enabler .

Just set up a series of 10 file sets containing music files named 1025-1034 and swap them out as desired.

Hope you find this useful,

I was hoping your music would be Japanese Patriotic Songs.
These will suit the game more.

Yeah, it would be nice if the Japanese ones were upbeat military marches. Banzai!

Can I make a suggestion ? Would it be better to move this thread in to the Modding forum. Then it won't get lost in the main one.

Where did I see in these threads, an application that extracts the music from these
youtube vids?
