Hey Guys, my first post on WITP-AE and I have a question.

I'm involved in a PBEM campaign as the Allies. We're in the early stages of the campagin, the date is March 15th, 1942. I have noticed that a few of my air units cannot be changed or moved in any way. By this I mean that I cannot change anything about the air unit. I cannot:
Transfer to another base
Select a mission type, altitude, select target etc.
Withdraw unit or disband
Change Pilot
Change Unit Attach to
etc.

The unit is based at a large base that is attached to a functional command (not restricted) that is fully fuled and supplied. The unit is not in Reserve status and is not overstacked. The unit also has the required number of pilots. This is a strange occurance as this unit is trapped in training mode. Other units that are in a similar status are trapped in Sweeps, Escorts, Port attack etc.

I've attempted to attach/upload a .jpg image of a typical unit in this situation. If anyone has input on why this occurs I'm all ears.

What version of the game are you using?

It looks like the game thinks the unit belongs to Soviets - limited group functions.

That was corrected in one of the recent patches. Not sure which one, though.

You can attach a save here for review if you like.

Hey Michael,

Sorry for the delay, but I've been busy getting my butt kicked in AE. LOL.

My version should be current: 1.03.1102a

I've just loaded the latest update about a week ago. This issue still exists. At the I have this problem in various areas and various status of activity. The example above is at a base with no current enemy in the area. I have other units in this same state that are under attack as we read this and I can't muster so much as a CAP or Recon.

To answer your question, Russia is Quiet in this PBEM. We have decided to not bring them into the mix as I'm a first time player and my opponent is a WITP vet. so AE is much improved so I'm told.

Any input as to why this occurs will be appreciated. They were all operational units at first, but a select batch have morphed into these units that no longer can be transferred, sent on missions etc.
