My parents gave me my first board wargame (AH's Blitzkrieg) in the mid 70s and I was hooked. Have a cabinet full of AH and Victory Games. I think my favorites were Midway and American Civil War. Stumbled my way through some of the earlier computer games (Talonsaoft series and Harpoon in particular). Found UV in late 2002 and, since then, it's been that and WitP and AE. I live in northwestern Georgia with my wife of nearly 23 years, daughter, and two sons. I'll be 50 late this year, a milestone which leaves me rather stunned. But I'm lucky to have a great family and a job that is pure pleasure, so I'll accept my age and try not to do anything stupid to prove that I'm really young even though I'm not. Miller and John III have been my opponents since UV days. Somewhere back in what seems prehistoric times I even squared off against Admiral Dadman in UV. He beat me handily. I nonchalantly picked my screen name in the '90s, not realizing it would actually stick with me. I don't canoe that much any more and, while I'm a proud Southerner, I'm glad to be an American. I never served in the military, but my father (Army sergeant, WWII), step-father (quartermaster, US Navy, WWII), and father-in-law (Army armor, Korean War) did so so that I didn't have to. Thanks, dads.
