Eh? What's all this then? Someone been going to some corporate 'team building' function?

I like Petraeus' quote along those lines. Whilest commanding the 82nd Airborne Div in Gulf War II, he suggested that his subordinate officers would do better if they owned up to how 'sucky' things were. His command? "Embrace the suck." Truer words never spoken.

In the mid 1980's there was a popular cartoon floating around, showing the different services "dealing with the suck". The 1st square shows a USN sailor drinking coffee at the rail of his ship as he looks at land , and he say's "Boy, I'll bet it sucks over there!". The next square shows 2 Marines up to their knees in mud and one says "It really sucks here!". The third square shows two Army Special Forces soldiers up to their waists in mud , and the 1st guy says, "you know , I think I know how to make it suck somemore?". The 2nd guy says, "let's go for it!". In the final panel , a USAF guy is drinking a beer and beating on his TV set. "Cables gone out? That REALLY SUCKS!".

3 Fire truck, 1 semi-automatic ladder, 1 ambulance, 1 command car. 28 mens and officers.

Apparently, there was a plastic fire at the upper level.
Didn't realized anything before i saw the lights in the street just in front of our entry. ;

That's the 6th time in 3 years that we have this kind of visit. THis make Miss Gladiatt anxious...

I'm sorry, but that's not Jesus. If it's in Marmite, that would have to be the anti-Christ.

Glad that it wasn't more serious, gladiatt.

As an aside, how could you tell the difference between a plastic fire and your neighbor making toast with Marmite / Vegemite?

Hi all,

Blizzard here...

In parts of the country 100 cm (35+ inches) of snow fell... in my town we expect around 30 cm (12 inches)...
