Hi all, quote:
ORIGINAL: Terminus Hmm, sounds like a good idea. It DID annoy me somewhat to have everything just lumped on that one big drive. Unfortunately 99.99% of people have just one single partition. Same is when you buy PC from small shop or some big vendor (HP, Dell etc.)... this is very bad setup when things go wrong (and they will go wrong eventually)... With several partitions you simple learn/train yourself to put stuff where it needs to be! So... instead of using" My Documents" as default (and it is in C:) you put your stuff on "Data" partition, same with Games - install them to "Game" partition! Also, this gives you chance to have BackUp of your C: partition to, for example, "Archive" partition regurarely (I do it once a week) and you can go back in time if something goes wrong in just few minutes (of course this only works if you have keep your data in "Data" partition and have small C: with just Operating system and other needed programs (but not games that are usually huge and are better to be in separate "Game" partition)!
