I know that the normal protectorate levies and builds are not working.

Are the special regional bonus units levies still working?

If so, do they levy in March?

(This is my experiance via PBEM) If you mean home Nation levys then no, I had 1 levy of the 4 elite Turkish units in my second year then zilch after that, none of the other Nations I've played has prodused anything in their home provinces, and since the horrific experiance after lowering the Trukish FL a bit (several years after those levies did arrive) I now do not touch the FL for any nation, the consequences can kick you into touch for the whole game, but as I say thats from my experiance, FL needs to be taken apart and put back together for the upcoming Patch IMO.

Upcoming patch? Truth to that, or rumor?

I'd be thrilled.

I'm trying to tinker with the FL via the data files -- no results to report yet....but it sort of spoils the game for me.

Sorry, I need to be more clear.

By Regional Bonus Units I mean units received under "special levies" for Kingdom of Italy, Kingdom of Naples, Confederation of the Rhine, etc.

I believe I have SEEN (ie. I haven't owned) Italy and Naples receive units fairly consistantly in several PBEM games I have played (ie. year after year). Can someone confirm?

Basically, I am trying to figure out if I should create the Kingdom of Italy so that I can receive some free units through this special levy.

Speaking of MAJOR powers levy, I think as Russia I have received 2 regular cavalry though levy since the beginning of the game. Cossack levy seems to work fine though.

Yer I need to ammend my finding above, just had 1st turn as Russia (never started them up before) in a 4v4 PBEM and found 11 Homeland & 1 Protectorate levies had truned up!!!

Kingmaker, Are you sure those aren't cossacks?  I believe Cossack provinces in Protectorate status also levy cossack units.

Well there is a bug with the Kingdom of Italy (KoI).

The programers included Carniola in the list of protectorates you have to have.

However, Venice does NOT controll Carniola. Therefore, you have to MOD the game to get the KoI! (Either include Carniola with Venice or change KoI to include Illyria INSTEAD of Carniola. Things should work out then, see MODDERS Guide).
