Yes. If nothing else, one wants to at least defend the most likely avenues of approach.

Hello Simon!

Counting days until the expiration on the contract of the old job?

I am at the conference... "hiding" at the back but can't leave... at least there is wireless...

Tomorrow is my last day. Finding it very hard to stay interested in the problems here.

Ahh, a short timer! So short that if you fell off a farthing you would break a leg. Good luck.

Great Simon - I am sure you are very much looking to it (and finally being with your family)!

BTW, did they (at old job) take anyone to replace you (and that you must "coach" in your final days)?

First day at the new gig tithe.

Unfortunately my "vacation" had dealt rather roughly with my internal clock. Hopefully I will not come off as a complete drooling idiot on my first day (Steve, zip it! ).

No. He clearly has me.

Probably do; there is at least one ship in AE that I served on-in fact I was the last one to get orders to depart-LSD 7 USS Oak Hill. In fact, the Oak Hill was the last ship in the Navy with steam reciprocating main engines (think steam locomotive) and a pressurized fire room. I went from there to S5G, the most advanced reactor in the Navy at the time. What a switch.

My nephew , now almost 30 , served on the "New Oak Hill". Which he refers to as "That old ship"!
