I have not suggested that if it is released soon that it will positively have been rushed and incomplete. I HAVE stated that if the game IS ready and released then that would be swell. It seems that some of the forum members are selective reading interpretring.

Your right wade, most of the time, I skip over the majority of your posts.

You should have seen Wade on the Space Empires V forum, but even then it was never THIS bad...

Yes it seems his posts do get people stirred up.

Just thought this thread was about the release plan is all... Two many fish in here biting biting biting. Maybe if they didn't know there was food they'd stop.

Excellent, that makes this bit of the forum a lot less irritating to read.

Wade, are you serious?  You do the internet equivalent of standing on a table with a bullhorn and screaming your opinion over and over at passerby's and then you get offended when someone calls you down on it?  No one ever said you couldn't post your opinion, no one ever said you couldn't be passionate and submit ideas but just tone it down some, that's all we are saying.

Okay......I'm done, thanks apretzo.  Looking forward to DW.

I have a quick question. I have no way of ordering DW online. Bear with me. How long will it take to get a physical copy? Will NWS Online Gaming Store have it?

Thank you friends

You can only order it here from Matrix.

IIRC, the last game I ordered a hard copy of took about 3 days to get to me.

Good Hunting.

On the topic (new one). Do you know if they ship to Finland? :D

Also. Does physical copy also give you right to download the game? As in if I buy the actual boxed set on release day, can I instantly download it and start playing while waiting for my kit or do I have to wait

I'm guessing that NWS will have DW ... they carry pretty much all of matrix's games... try emailing them and asking about it, they answer questions pretty quickly there.

they ship to finland, and if it's like most of matrix's games you can order either a download copy, a physical copy, or a physical+download option.

It's cool to see all the excitement for Distant Worlds. But just a gentle reminder to all to keep it friendly - no personal insults.

Don't worry that we're rushing DW out the door, or delaying it indefinitely on the other hand. It'll be here real soon...

Screw the alien artwork.  Just put the game out now and give us the artwork in an update when it's ready.

Just wanted to say thanks to the Dev team for posting a release date at all. Most companies shy away from doing so because there is always a percentage of forum citizens waiting to beat them over the head with the prediction if even the slightest thing goes awry.

Tippin' my hat to the team with the guts to take the chance and publish an actual release date vs a vague reference to "soon".

You are truly the exception and I for one appreciate it.

I usually order both the digital DL and the hard copy. You can start playing the day it releases and about 3 days after you order you get your hardcopy. Works out well for me.

Personally I say thank god for digital copies, I simply don't have enough space to keep buying games in physical form these days.

CD's take up very little room. I like having the physical hard copy if anything goes wrong.

I have an idea!!!

Here we go, I think you'll like and the devs will definitely go for it!

Release the digital version NOW!!! With or without the new artwork. When the artwork is done just patch it. Meanwhile, don't send the physical copies out until the artwork is finished. Problem solved, everyone happy!

I always get digital only and burn a copy to disc along with the serial. I have my copy and I saved a couple bucks.
