Ready for my long distance dash to the middle of the heartland! Got my new digital camera and it's gadgets, my laptop and it's respective widgets are packed, and this afternoon my GPS should arrive (UPS and Amazon.com willing!).

How the back/ass area?

The back is improving , and is no problem if I move relatively slowly. Thanks for asking! My backside has never had a problem , despite Chickenboy's claim to the contrary. One robin does not make a spring , and one minor victory (his only one thus far) does not win a war. OK , so he killed two of my cruisers. We are still very close in points and I've only just begun to get my heavy units, troops and amphib ships. I expect CB will be very quiet about our PBEM for the next couple of turns!

If youre winning, youre probably cheating.

Despite the unofficial motto of AW's being "If your'e not cheating , your'e not trying hard enough!", I never cheat on a PBEM. Besides , I wouldn't know how. And CB will tell you , I suggested his attack several turns ago. Nice to know somebody listens to me!

Oh no you don't, buddy. Your advice consisted of 'Maybe you should attack me with your only capable warships.' Really? So that's what all these buttons do?

Well , it's definate. My lesiurely round robin trip and vacation was corrupted into a one week "there and back again dash!".
So much for meeting any of my thread brothers on this trip. And then the weekend after I have to do another dash to the outer banks for a nephew's wedding. Any of our brethern live out that way?

Will you be flying, then?

Yeah. In a Huyndai accent down I-80.

I would advise against that. The local law enforcement authorities might take that in dim light. Unless your Huyndai is souped up with radar absorbing materials, of course. Then youre probably fine.

USS and I are close...but you are coming on Easter weekend. Not good timing for a summit.

And I-80 isn't going to get you here. You'll need I-95 plus I-64 and a wing and a prayer actually. And don't get stranded in Dare county because those rednecks will recognize your Yankeeness immediately.

I-80 is for the 1st trip , the one to Omaha that starts at 0;dark 30 tomorrow. The North Caolina trip is April 10 and 11th.

What , my Florida Plates/tags (depending on what part of the country you're from) don't give me cover?

I didn't say how fast I was flying. Most Cessna's and Pipers rotate at 75mph. Accents at a considerably lower speed!

Gnarly would be a synonym for righteous, and an antonym for bogus.

Oh boy. CB, do you wanna talk to Mike about this or should I.

Dude. You.

OK, if I must.

Mike, listen to me carefully. The following may save your life, sanity and public image. Have you ever seen someone act like a Texas cowboy, Jamaican reggae singer or a Jersey Italian, and who was not, in fact a Texas cowboy, Jamaican reggae singer or a Jersey Italian (respectively) without looking extremely silly? Yes, Mike, the answer is "no". Well, the truth of it is, that acting like a CA beach bum will only get you equated with a bad imitation of Keanu Reeve, which is horrific enough in and of itself. Only real CA beach bums can actually pull it off.

You speak of Keanu Reeves but do not mention the Yoda CA beach bum of my generation, Sean Penn! Jeff Spicoli is my hero!

P.S. Punk kid!

In NC, your Florida plates will require at least 4 patrol cars when you are pulled over.

Maybe. But the county says Duval , not Dade. And anybody whose ever been to Jacksonville Knows it's not Florida, it's southern Georgia!

And what is the greatest distance you've ever encountered between Danish towns? When you live in a town of 500, the next town is 50 miles away , and the next city is 200+ miles away, driving becomes not a luxury, but an absolute necessity. But I do agree with you about drinking. I was able to drink at 18. Then they took that right away from me till I was 21. Even though I was in the service on active duty. I DO think that you should be able to drink at 18 , but not vote till you are 21.

But then again, at 15 I could drive, I held a job (after school and on weekends and summers) and paid taxes.

What the hell has distance got to do with what I just posted? At 16, you're still in diapers, and shouldn't be behind the wheel.

I agree, but voting parents in this country would be up in arms if they couldn't avoid bussing their whelps around as soon as possible.

Actually it makes great sense to lower the drinking age radically and raise the driving age radically. These brats feel they have to text their hunny behind the wheel now.

No one should be driving until the teenage hormones have subsided and you've had a good flogging from a staff sergeant.
