I didn't seem to find anything in the forum similar to my problem, so I don't know if it is unique to me...

I am in the midst of a BoB '40 campaign against the RAF AI. I am patched to 1.02 using the old (i.e. not the just released) OOB. I have just completed turn 34/79.

Sometime around turn 30 I noticed one of my pilots from the High Scorers was a pilot from KGr 806, Fw Aurther Victor Clowes (2 kills) flying a Ju-88A-5. He had not shown on the scoring screen before this (I know this to be true because every turn I scan down the list to see what type of aircraft my pilots are getting kills in - this was the first and only non-fighter to show on the list). What was unusual about him (other than his non-Germanic name) was that he had flown about 40 or so missions, while everyone else in KGr 806 had only about half the number of sorties (the Gruppe had not taken significant losses, so it is not a case of Mr. Clowes being the lucky survivor of a "hard-luck" Gruppe). I thought it unusual, but disregarded it and pressed.

After today's action, one of my high scoring pilots is Fw Harry Broadhurst of (again) KGr 806 with 4 kills in his Hurricane. I would be more than happy to accept Mr. Broadhurst into the gruppe (as he does have an 89 experience - and he brought me a Hurricane for exploitation), but I somehow think it is more of a glitch in the system.

Any ideas????

Thanks for the assistance!

Eddie

Oh, yeah. My original point being that I think pilots are being inadvertently swapped between sides, if the above explaination is not clear about that

Sometimes the scores go to the wrong side:
Allied shoots down axis aircraft, Axis ace is credited for the score (and also possibly Allied ace is shot down) amd vice versa.

General Henry H. Arnold said after the mission:

" The loss of 60 American bombers in the Schweinfurt raid was incidental."
