heartsofiron.eu

We will try to support this game with graphical mods & maybe some additional campaigns.
i will keep you informed on the official matrix board.

======== same in german ===========

Maybe it's a misunderstanding of this OB game. Maybe they have a OB mod for HOI.

Changed the link in the first post, sorry for the misunderstandings.

Yesterday we decided to put OB on the toplevel of the DMP board.
At the moment we are checking what is possible and what not.

I think we will support OB with new textures and maybe new models soon.
We are thinking about new scenarios, too.

DMP is changing from Paradox Interactive only mods(due to that BUGGY HOI3) to all strategy games.
There will be mods for other Matrix Games, too (War in the pacific AE e.g.).
One of the founders of DMP is Geraldino, maker of the german translation for Rising Sun.

I will keep you informed.

Yours Jaegerfeld

Reworked the KV1 Tank today.
The whole model, not only the texture.

Yes, i know it's ugly as hell.... but it was only the first try.
I hope that i will be able to rework all the units in the game.
AND on step two make new ones, maybe a whole new scenario (africa?).

German workshop:

http://www.heartsofiron.eu/forum/viewtopic.php?p=624706#p624706

I will be very busy next week but i will make a short How To the next days/two weeks.

I'm sure many people are appreciating your work, Jaegerfeld. Unfortunately, I don't have the skills to help. But with more units and operations, this could be one heck of a project. Thank you.

Thx, i try to form a modding /support team for OB.
I'm a great fan of the Panzergeneral series, maybe we can build our own PG.

Btw. : I'm searching for Blender specialists. I'm just a C# /XNA Programmer, i NEED artists.

I hope that we can recruit many german fans on the day OB is released in german.
DMP always tries to release all mods multilingual.(that means german & english :-))

in v1.14 there are two new nations, Italy and GB - they were added to support the mod.

We just did not announce the fact as the nations are empty and of no use for the common players.

That is news and good news as well. I'll keep watching.

BTW the English button doesn't work on their forum. Can anyone recommend a way to translate?

Which browser do you use? For me it works fine (Opera)
But only the interface will be translated, not the content.

After finishing the german version of Afrika Mod we will translate the mod into english, thats for sure (we always do).

I'm very busy at the moment, but i think we can release the afrika mod in early spring '10. Maybe earlier, 'cause after february 8th i will have much time to finish the mod.
A new units - only beta version will be released as soon as possible ( late december? first week of january?)

Firefox but I see now that it is only the interface that changes.

I found a add-on that translates blocks of text quickly with google.

I registered for the forums and will read your progress now that I can see the pictures and translate.

I hope to see some interest in French armour for May-June 1940 battles.

Maybe in the future.
At the moment there are no french units in the game, perhaps the devs will add them?.
But for now i will be happy when the africa Mod is finished.(and running without bugs)

I see reference to Free and Vichy French units for NA. You could use Benelux until R&R add France to the game.

I will be very busy until the end of janaury, due to exams.( I'm a student of Computer Science)
But i will have much time in february & march.

At the moment I'm collecting many italian unit models for converting them into OGRE mesh.

Ronald has made some very nice palm trees for the mod. Picture at DMP. I think you have to register to see the pic. Maybe Ronald could post it here too.

Super Zoom? Is that coming with the next update?

Edit: I guess that shot is at the zoom we have now but somehow the units look larger.

Hello,

here is the screenshot i posted over there. Please keep in mind it is just a test of palm trees i made to support their MOD. Its not part of the official game yet.

Its just a excerpt from a huger screenshot (1680x1050 pixels) that now looks zoomed. There is no such feature included or planned.

One more word about the planned MOD.

To document the ambition of the people behind it i can tell you there will be over 100 new units included and several campaigns are planned. Also a desert graphics set (this is where the palm trees come in) is being created.

So i can only encourage anyone who likes to mod a game to support those keen modders to reach their goal.

Regards

VR I'll keep posting here as things progress.

If you use Firefox, get the gtranslate plugin. Click and drag to highlight the text. Right click and click translate this text. For me this opens a new tab with the text somewhat translated to English. I can usually figure out what is being said.

I think that we can release a first open beta Mod short after the next patch in 3-4 weeks(late march).
We will bring you several short campaigns, in a chronological order.
First campaign will be the focus on the first italian - british fightings in autum / winter 1940.

first look:

http://www.designmodproject.de/forum/viewtopic.php?p=707986#p707986

We will continue our work for at least one year, filling the mod with content.

Hi Jaegerfeld,

Models and textures looks good, but it seems that the airscrews have some alpha problems.
