Will it relieblly work to set up following order:

TF 100 follow TF 150
TF 150 follow TF 120
TF 120 follow TF 290

And then have them all reliebly move together ?

Ever heard about Murphy's law?

So if this is an operation that may change the outcome of the war I'd think about a less sophisticated plan.

Ah, in the UV days, it was like holidays in hell...

It was a problem when you were loading different ground units on different TFs... I remember I found this workaround. When loading in some port, TF A was following TF B... and... TF B was following TF A! Result? At least it worked

Just to jump in on this with a question, what would the best way to handle different TF from different ports to meet up & follow each other to the same destination in AE? Say I've got troops in Nouema TF1, Efate TF2 & Suva TF3 all set to invade Lunga, how would best way be to have them all arrive at Lunga at the same time using the meet & follow commands as when I've tried to use them they've not worked as I thought they should. The only way so far I've got things to work is to have them all go to the same hex w/ remain on station then set destination once they're all there.
